2 Pre Conference Day May 19 th Morning Workshop: Shifting Paradigms: A primer for working with Transgender Individuals Key Note Speaker: Françoise Susset, Psy. D. Françoise Susset is a clinical psychologist and couple and family therapist with over 25 years of experience working with LGBT populations. Her clinical work centers on trans adults and teens, during transition and beyond. She also focuses on supporting gender creative children, helping families and schools challenge notions regarding sexuality, sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression. Françoise is a member of WPATH and is past president of the Canadian Professional Association for Transgender Health (CPATH). Afternoon Workshop: HIV Prevention for LGBT People Keynote Speaker: Bill Ryan MEd, MSW Bill Ryan is a social worker and adult educator who has been involved in issues related to sex education, prevention, care and policy development since Currently a teacher in social work at McGill University, Bill is also a consultant to the Québec Ministry of Health and Social Services, Health Canada, the International Federation of Social Workers, UN AIDS, UNICEF and to the Canadian AIDS Society.

3 May 20 th Plenary Speakers Jody Jollimire, Consultant, Gay Men & HIV Provincial Working Group, BC Gay Men, HIV & Stigma: Engineering a Provincial Response Jody has a rich history of working in Gay/MSM health and wellness, with experience in policy, research, training and educaiton. He will present on the challenges faced by Gay/MSM individuals relating to HIV and bring his unique experience as a Provincial consultant, bolstering services for Gay/MSM communities in a diverse province. Dr Adrian Edgar MD Trans Primary Health Care Adrian Edgar is a trans man, family doctor, and the Medical Director at Clinic a family practice specializing in trans, queer, and reproductive health, in Fredericton, New Brunswick. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for AIDS New Brunswick, is the provincial representative to the Equity and Diversity Committee of the College of Family Physicians of Canada, and is a faculty member with the Departments of Family Medicine at Dalhousie University and Memorial University of Newfoundland. Adrian is a founding member of the New Brunswick Transgender Health Network, and worked on the Community Engagement Team for Canada s largest trans health needs assessment, the Trans PULSE Survey, in Ontario in 2009.
