21 Important events NSB Group The Parliament has approved the government s plan for significant changes to the railway sector in Norway Passenger train The purchase of new trains continues and 68 have been received and put into operation 2.4 million more journeys due to improved timetable and increased capacity Svenska Tågkompaniet, NSB s subsidiary in Sweden, will run the regional traffic in northern Sweden which has an annual expected turnover of 220 MNOK Bus Tenders have been awarded in Hedmark and Østersund (Sweden) Freight The efficiency measures have given several good results and the work continues Real estate The new descent from Akrobaten Bridge to platform 2 at Oslo Central Station has been completed and opened Drammen municipality, ROM Eiendom and Jernbaneverket (National Rail Administration) have signed a new cooperation agreement for development of railway properties in Drammen Train maintenance Mantena has reorganised their operations to meet increased demands to deliver cost-effective services in a competitive market
