5 Macroeconomics GDP growth continues, % YoY In 2008 real GDP grew by 2.1% YoY (down from 7.6% in 2007 and 7.3% in 2006) The highest growth rates were in agricultural sector, forestry, transportation and telecommunication Inflation accelerated to 22.3% YoY in 2008 (up from 16.6% in 2007) IMF forecasts 5% GDP decline in 2009, and annual inflation rate growth of 18.8%.
