1 NRA Trainers Catalog This catalog shows current-year prices. Materials and prices subject to change without notice. 2. Effective February 15, 2009, all orders must be placed either online ( or telephone, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am 8:00 pm ( ), using a credit card. 3. Be certain shipping information is complete and to include your trainer ID number and expiration date. 4. Plan ahead! Allow 3-4 weeks for delivery. Plan to have materials arrive at least 2 weeks prior to your course. 5. Check order for accuracy and completeness immediately upon receipt. 6. All free-of-charge merchandise is subject to quantity limits and shipping charges. 7. Instructors and training counselors may only order student and instructor candidate packets for the disciplines in which they hold appropriate ratings. 8. Questions on orders or ordering restrictions and eligibility? Call (703) Entire packets can be returned for credit. Partial packets cannot be returned for refund or exchange. Refunds are for merchandise only, not shipping and handling. 10. All returns and exchanges must be made within 60 days of receipt of merchandise. Shipping charges apply to exchanges for wrong merchansdise ordered. 11. As an NRA Trainer, what materials do I need to conduct the basic courses? You will need to have one set of lesson plans, wall charts, and a student packet for each discipline you will be teaching. 2 You will also need to supply each student in your class with the Basic Course Student Packet for the discipline you are covering. Most packets include an NRA basic handbook, the appropriate completion certificate, a Gun Safety Rules brochure, a Basic Firearm Training Program brochure, a basic practical rocker, the appropriate student exam, and a Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification Program booklet. FIRST Steps lesson plans and participant packets are available only for Pistol, Rifle, and Shotgun courses. When you are teaching a FIRST Steps course, you will need one set of FIRST Steps lesson plans (specific to the discipline you are covering) for yourself, and one FIRST Steps Participant Packet and course registration card for each participant. FIRST Steps Participant Packets include an NRA basic handbook, the appropriate completion certificate, a Gun Safety Rules brochure, a Basic Firearm Training Program brochure, a Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification Program booklet, and a basic practical rocker. You will need a Basic Course Report Form (item #TT 14685) to report each basic course you teach. As an NRA-appointed Training Counselor, what materials do I need to order to train instructors? You will need to supply each instructor candidate with the following items: NRA Trainer s Guide (item #EF 13530) NRA Instructor Candidate Packet (item # depends on which discipline is being taught, see pages 5 adn 6). Includes instructor s course outline/lession plans, the appropriate FIRST Steps lesson plans, and the appropriate instructor application/examination, Trainers Exam, Basic Course Report Form (item #TT 14685, NRA Instructor/RSO Application form and a catalog for NRA Trainers (relaoding course contents slightly different). NRA Basic Course Student Packet (item # depends on which discipline is being taught, see pages 3 and 4) Instructor Course Completion Cards (item #TT 14690) You will also want to have wall charts for display during your instructor courses. We do encourage you to provide these items to instructor candidates as well! You will also need an Instructor Course Report Form (item #TT 14680) to report your instructor training courses. 2
