3 SUMMIT INVITATION The World Juice Day (WJD) is an international initiative launched in 2010 by the International Federation of Fruit Juice Producers (IFU) on a proposal of the Turkish Fruit Juice Industry Association (MEYED) This year, MEYED, in co-operation with the International Federation of Fruit Juice Producers (IFU), which represents the worldwide fruit juice industry, is organizing a World Juice Day Summit on 30 th May at the Renaissance İstanbul Bosphorus Hotel. This event is also supported by other representative organizations of the juice industry, such as the European Fruit Juice Association (AIJN) the independent industrial self-control platform (SGF) and the European Quality Control System (EQCS). The main objectives of the WJD Summit are as follows: Raise consumers awareness for the benefits of fruit juices; Serve as an international communication platform for the juice industry; support 5 a day program advised by World Health Organization and get across the importance of fruit juice in a healthy diet; Highlight current issues and challenges of fruit and fruit juice production; Manifest the vision and potential of the global juice industry and the Turkish one in particular; Get the support of official national and international bodies, as well as all other stakeholders. The format of the Summit is designed to feature presentations and panel discussions from keynote speakers and top executives on selected challenging topics; moreover, offering networking opportunities to develop new business by means of B2B meetings in parallel sessions. Our aim is to attract more than 200 executives, decision makers, delegates of juice industry and public authority, academics, investors and members of the press, share new ideas and experience, to collaborate innovatively across traditional boundaries, to discuss the opportunities, to promote the potential of Turkish market and industry, and to develop an international communication platform for the juice industry. The World Juice Day should be regarded as an initiative of the whole international juice community to generate global recognition for fruit juice as being a processed fruit and thus a natural and healthy product. Therefore, it is crucial to have the representatives of the global juice family with us on this special day. 6 Registration Fees and Deadlines REGISTRATION EARLY BIRD (Before March 1, 2013) STANDARD (After March 1, 2013) MEYED and IFU Member Non Member Academician Student Registration fee includes all scheduled sessions, coffee breaks, lunch, summit bag and % 18 VAT. Refunds and Cancellation Registration cancellations are subject to a $25 cancellation administrative fee, Refunds will be made only if a written cancellation is received or postmarked before April 1, Registrants who do not participate or who cancel after April 1, 2013, will forfeit their entire registration fee.

8 31 MAY 2013 Full Day Byzantine & Ottoman Relics After breakfast at the hotel, depart for a full day tour of Istanbul. During the tour you will visit Blue Mosque, Hippodrome and Obelisks and the magnificence of the Hagia Sophia. Lunch will be served at the local Turkish restaurant. After the lunch the tour will continue with the Topkapi Palace. Before back to the hotel you will have free time at Grand Bazaar for shopping.
