4 Three kinds of comfort Goodnight, sleep tight... Deluxe and Economy sleeping cars Nothing beats a sleeping car for sheer comfort on board our City Night Line trains. Groups of up to four people can reserve their own compartment so that everyone can look forward to their own bed at night and breakfast in the morning. Each sleeping compartment features a washbasin and is stocked with towels and toiletries. All sleeping cars have additional washing facilities with washbasins, showers and WCs. Each Deluxe sleeping compartment features its own shower and WC for even greater convenience and privacy. Couchette cars Couchette compartments are the ideal option if you want to reserve an inexpensive berth for one to six people. Compartments are generally shared with other travellers, although groups have the option of reserving an entire compartment for themselves. Women-only compartments are available on all of our routes for women travelling on their own (space subject to availability; reservations can be made via DB s sales outlets). For a small additional charge, the maximum number of passengers per compartment can be limited to four people. Cars with reclining and normal seats Seated cars are the most affordable type of accommodation we offer. Depending on the route, you can travel in a climate-controlled open-plan car with adjustable reclining seats or in a compartment with just six places. Washing facilities and WCs are located in each car.
