4 L EARNING OBJECTIVES At the conclusion of this activity, the participants should be able to: Improve the performance of ERCP and EUS by understanding established and emerging therapeutic techniques and technologies to optimize success, reduce complications, and enhance outcomes for benign and malignant pancreatic and biliary disorders. Implement the best endoscopic treatment strategies for patients with Barrett s esophagus and Inflammatory Bowel Disease and understand the importance of the role of new techniques and technologies to expand non-surgical treatment options. Integrate practice guidelines and expert opinion in the identification and treatment of small bowel disorders such as bleeding vascular malformations, inflammatory bowel disease, ulcers, and neoplasms using imaging and endoscopic modalities. Diagnose difficult to visualize polyps and treat challenging polyps along with enhancing recognition of early signs of complications to improve treatment and outcomes. A CCREDITATION The University of Colorado School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The University of Colorado School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. Modules include lunch. HANDS-ON WORKSHOPS This advanced endoscopy workshop, with one-on-one interaction with course faculty, will allow participants to gain hands-on exposure to new and/or advanced endoscopy techniques and devices, utilizing a combination of animal models and simulators for training. The hands-on workshops are held in our state-of-the-art endoscopy center. This is the only nationally available program offering live fluoroscopy for training in ERCP and stenting. Participants will select one of the following three modules. ADVANCED ERCP AND ENTERAL STENTING DEEP ENTEROSCOPY, ESOPHAGEAL STENTING, BARRETT S MUCOSAL ABLATION ENDOSCOPIC MUCOSAL RESECTION, TISSUE APPOSITION, AND PERFORATION CLOSURE Due to the hands-on nature of the course, class size is limited and will be accepted on a first-come basis.
