2 2STEP 1? Determine Your Reasons WHY ASK YOURSELF Do I want to be my own boss? What is my dream? How much money do I want to earn? What would I do with an extra $1,000 a month? What are some of the things I would like to buy? What would I like to have that I don t have now? (e.g., car, home, vacations, retirement, children s education, more time with family and friends, tax advantages) Would I like to become financially independent? Would I like to work from home so I can be with my children? What would I be doing if money was not an issue? 1 As with the start of any new venture, it s valuable to ask yourself an important question: Why? Your reasons will ignite the fire that will motivate you to succeed! Write down your reasons for wanting to build a business with L BRI. If you are not sure what your reasons are, listed to the side are some thought-starters that may help you. 1. What are your biggest reasons for starting your L BRI business? 2. How much income do you want to earn? $ Weekly $ Monthly 3. How will that income affect you and your family? Get a laser-sharp focus. ($300 for a car payment; $500 for groceries or school tuition; $600 to reduce credit card debt each month, etc.) 4. Do you want to explore how you can earn a six-figure income with L BRI? 5. If you had all you want or need, where would you like to spend money a charity, project, etc.? What tugs at your heart?

4 4STEP 2 2 Organize Your Time To achieve your dreams and goals, it is important that you decide how many hours a week you want to commit to building your business. Every L BRI Consultant s life has different demands, so determine a workable plan for your lifestyle. r How much time will you invest each week? Hours r L BRI Shows typically take about 2 hours plus traveling and ordering time, so you will be able to hold about Shows a week. r Mark your calendar with these dates and time commitments: Block off your family and personal time. Highlight days you want to hold Shows and appointments. Plan time blocks for Customer Care Calls. Set up Show observation training with your Leader and/or Sponsor. Reserve training and meeting dates. Highlight your Quick Start dates to help you reach your Quick Start Rewards. Work on one goal at a time. Keep the dates visible to you and your family. r Here are a few things you ll want to do: Visit your new personal website type in yourname.lbri.com. Log into your Business Center to post your photo and your Share and Care story on your website. Open a separate bank account and order business cards for your new business. Designate a phone number as your L BRI business number perhaps your cell phone. Create a professional outgoing voice message for this business line. Make labels with your name, phone number, website and addresses. You will need to label or stamp all literature that you distribute. Create a Facebook page. Join the L BRI Facebook Consultant forum. If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours. 5 3 STEP 3 Create Your Name List Use the worksheet on the next pages to begin creating a Name List of people you know, starting with the first 60. This is one of the most important steps for launching your business. It is from this list that you will start contacting people and sharing your product experience. Your list will be a work-in-progress, so add to it whenever you think of a new person to contact. There are people everywhere who need and want the products and services that you have to offer! Add to your Name List often, but remember not to pre-judge people. Write down anyone you think of, then give them the opportunity to say Yes or No. Don t do it for them. You ll be amazed how many people you actually know. Start writing as many names as you can. Refer to your phone contacts and addresses. Think of people in various circles of your life. We call this your FRANKE list. F Friends those who are close and those who live long distance R Relatives close and distant A Acquaintances co-workers, social groups/church contacts N Neighbors in current and previous neighborhoods K People you know through your kids E Everyone else your Internet, social media/facebook friends, people you do business with, people who know lots of people, people who love to help you, people who love health and beauty products, your spouse s friends and acquaintances. Next, expand your Name List by criss/crossing: Friends relatives, relatives neighbors, neighbors friends, and so on. r Contact everyone on your Name List. Check one of these five options that will work for them. 1. Invite everyone to your Grand Opening. 2. If they are unable to attend your Grand Opening, offer to set a time for a facial or invite them to another L BRI introduction in your home on an alternate date. 3. Offer everyone the opportunity to host a fun and relaxing girls night out and receive free and discounted L BRI products. (Encourage those who book to attend one of your Grand Openings or have a private facial so they can experience L BRI before their own Show.) 4. Who on your list may want or need some extra money? Offer to share more information with them. (Your Leader can help you.) 5. If someone on your list is long distance to you, share your love for L BRI and encourage them to visit your personal website and order a Sample Set or other L BRI products. Offer to do a Skype, Google Hangout or Facebook party for them. It is very important to contact people in person or by phone so they can hear your genuine excitement. r Set a goal Contact 6 people a day for the next 10 days. 8 8STEP 4 4? ASK YOURSELF Who do I know that may need some extra income? Who do I know that wants to have more time for the things that are most important to them? Who do I know that wants to start their own business and be their own boss? Who do I know that is in an unfulfilling or dead-end job? Who do I know that wants to have more freedom and flexibility? Select Five Key People Do you want to make more money while making a positive difference in the lives of others? If you answered YES, you will want to sponsor. Sponsoring is sharing! There are great rewards for you and those you sponsor. When you share the L BRI opportunity, you are helping others fulfill their dreams and reach their goals in life. At the same time, you enhance your own opportunities for satisfaction, advancement and MORE income. 9 5 STEP 5 Plan Your Grand Opening Now that you ve decided the reasons you want to start a L BRI business, determined the time you want to spend with it, and made your list of people to contact, it s time to launch your business by planning your Grand Opening. It is best to hold your Grand Opening within the next week or two. 3 Set a date that works well for you. It is impossible to find a date that s perfect for everyone. Even better, set a few additional Grand Opening dates so you can introduce the amazing L BRI products to more people. It s all about getting L BRI on their faces! 3 Create your Grand Opening Show and send an invitation to everyone on your Name List. There is a sample invitation in the Learning Center under New Consultants Start Here that you can customize. 3 Call each person you re inviting to share your excitement. They will be attracted by your enthusiasm! Ask them if they are able to attend. If they cannot attend, invite them to book a show of their own, attend another L BRI introduction at your home to experience the products, or set a private one-on-one appointment with them. 3 Talk to your upline Leader about how to plan for and conduct a successful Grand Opening. As a new Consultant you can be both a hostess and a Consultant one-time only in the first 45 days following your enrollment. One of your Grand Opening Shows can be this unique opportunity. You ll be able to earn all of the Hostess Rewards as well as the profits on the Show, PLUS receive Quick Start Rewards! The best place to succeed is where you are with what you have. 10 STEP 6 6 Schedule Your Activity The key to success is taking action. Once the people on your Name List hear how excited you are, they will want to help you launch your business. As you contact them, offer the dates you have available - for a Show, a private one-on-one appointment or an appointment to discuss the L BRI business opportunity. Focus on your goal to contact at least 6 people a day for 10 days to quickly reach your first 60 people. YOUR IDEAL GOAL IS TO BOOK 6 OR MORE SHOWS IN YOUR FIRST 6 WEEKS! Contact People to Book Shows and Private Appointments: Review the fantastic benefits of hosting a L BRI Show by reading the Host a Show brochure or going to the Host a Show tab on the L BRI website and click on Hostess Rewards. As a new Consultant you are ALSO able to OFFER your first 10 Hostesses an EXTRA $50 in FREE products with your VIP Hostess Coupons! Here is a suggested dialogue for booking Shows: Hi Krista, this is. I m so excited, I had to call you. I just decided to join L BRI so I can share the amazing skin care products that I absolutely love! Have you heard of L BRI PURE n NATURAL? (If not, share a few of the special highlights aloe vera is the first ingredient, effective, affordable, etc.) One of the things I love about what I m doing is I get to give away free products to the special people who invite me and a few of their friends over for a fun and relaxing girls night out. I thought of you because I d really feel comfortable doing one of my first skin care parties with you. Would you be willing to introduce me to a few of your friends by hosting a get-together in your home? I know you and your friends will love L BRI too and have a great time! Proceed to select a day and time. If she is unable to book a Show, select a date for a private facial or invite her to one of your Grand Openings. Contact Your Five Key People to Set Appointments to Explore the L BRI Income Opportunity: Review the extraordinary benefits of becoming a Consultant by reading the Discover the L BRI Opportunity booklet, Opportunity Flip Chart and going to the Opportunity tab on the L BRI website and clicking on the Marketing Plan. If we could find a few minutes to talk, you could take a closer look. I think you will be amazed at what you ll discover. Plus, I d love to work with you we could really have a lot of fun together! I have tomorrow afternoon or Thursday evening available. Which would work better for you? Proceed to select a day and time for an Opportunity Appointment. It s valuable to contact your upline Leader for help with these contacts. 10

11 7 STEP 7 Take Advantage of Training L BRI provides lots of training resources to help you build your business. Your Getting Started Workbook takes you through the important first steps. To get more information and training, refer to the links in the online version of the Getting Started Workbook. It is located in the L BRI Learning Center under the New Consultants Start Here tab. Your Business Center: The Business Center is the hub of your L BRI business. You ll want to review all of the resources that are available to you. r From the Home page you can click on tabs for news, presentations, library, calendar, business tracking, orders, commissions and shows. There are also quick links to customers, orders, shows, pay history, and more. Check the News tab often for the latest, most important news. r Print the Business Center Guide Step by Step Instructions and view the Business Center Training Videos. Filled with valuable information, these videos will guide you through placing customer and Consultant orders; creating, processing and closing shows; enrolling new Consultants and more. Go to the Home page, click on the Library tab and select Business Center Training Videos. Select the videos on the right hand column. r Participate in L BRI University. Learn skin care and product information at your own pace. Take six hours or sixty days to complete the comprehensive product training and become a Certified Skin Care Specialist. You don t have to complete L BRI University to start your business. r Be sure to read the WINGS Newsletter and all L BRI Updates that will be ed to you and posted in the Business Center. These communications give you an update on all that s new with L BRI. The newsletter also includes valuable training, inspiring testimonies, exciting recognition and more. Look for your name under New Consultants! Your Learning Center: This abundant resource provides everything from simple basics to advanced product and business information. You will want to spend time exploring every aspect of it. Go to your Business Center Home page and click on the Learning Center icon to access this valuable training. r It s best to start your training in the New Consultants Start Here section. The Getting Started Workbook is designed to guide you through the steps to starting a successful L BRI business. Take one step at a time. You ll want to also become familiar with the other training sections particularly the Booking Shows, Hostess Coaching, Show Presentation and Sponsoring New Consultants tabs. r Watch the Show Presentation video and follow along with the Show Presentation Cards that came in your Showcase. Listen to the audio MP3 while driving, cleaning house, etc. r Listen to Determine Skin Types and Recommend the Right Products by President and Co-Founder of L BRI, Linda Kaminski. Find the audio under Product Information tab. 11

12 7 STEP 7 Your Showcase: Your Showcase contains the tools you will need to begin a successful business. Become familiar with its contents and take advantage of its training materials. r Experiment with all the products and read the How to Use Your L BRI Products brochure. r Review the literature - especially the Host a Show brochure, Show Presentation Cards, Beauty Profile, and cascading Booking/Opportunity Slide. Your Upline Leaders: With L BRI you are in business FOR yourself, but not BY yourself. Your sponsor and upline Leaders are committed to your success as well. Keep in close contact with them, especially in your first few weeks. r Participate in all new Consultant and team training meetings, conference calls, online training and events. They are designed to help you build a successful business with L BRI. r Plan at least a weekly call with your Leader so she can answer questions and provide guidance. r Make it a priority to observe a few Shows with them to see how they share the product, book new Shows and create interest in the L BRI business opportunity. r Have 3-way calls with your sponsor or Leader and your first 6 Hostesses so you can observe how she effectively Hostess Coaches. This will ensure your initial Shows are successful! r Set up appointments or 3-way opportunity calls with your sponsor or Leader and your potential new Consultants.
