3 Notes Live data was extracted from METMIS on the 28th May The data set was limited to Total Notifiable Offences only. The data set was limited to only those offences recorded as occurring in the London Borough of Newham. Small sections of the postal code E7 are within the boundaries of Waltham Forest and Redbridge, those offences which have occurred in those two boroughs are excluded from this report. The data set was further limited to only those CRIS records with a recorded venue Post Code which featured "E7" Due to Offence Counting Rule changes in April 2008, two separate data queries and tables were produced to ensure this report is compliant with the counting rules. Police forces in the United Kingdom are routinely required to provide crime statistics to government bodies and the recording criteria is set nationally. However, the systems used for recording these figures are not generic, nor are the procedures used locally in capturing the crime data. It should be noted that for these reasons this force's response to your questions should not be used for comparison purposes with any other response you may receive.
