The system allows operators to easily and quickly capture legal-for-trade weight data en route, without extra steps. The FLSC Forklift Scale System was specifically developed for industrial/commercial applications and incorporates design features to weigh accurately under all conditions. Warehouses The FLSC documents the flow of goods between departments. Weight data ensures correct and safe rack placment. With the wireless scale carriage option, forklifts with multi-stage masts can be used without fear of damaging the scale/indicator interface cable. Freight Terminals Weight is the intregral component in determining fees for transporting freight, and properly distributing loads to avoid overload fines and unsafe conditions. The FLSC system is rugged and responsive, for the fast-paced terminal environment. It s easy for forklift operators to use, yet offers powerful data capture capabilities for corporate networks. Recycling Centers Bundled and palletized recycling materials, as well as waste can be weighed en route, without the driver diverting to a floor scale. This dramatically improves efficiency. The incab instrument s wireless option can transfer accurate weight data in real time to a backoffice collection system.

3 FLSC SCALE CARRIAGE ROBUST & ACCURATE The durability of the FLSC Scale Carriage is immediately apparent. The scale s patented design features two metal plates. The plates are coupled together by application-designed Avery Weigh-Tronix Weigh Bar weight sensors. This design has no flexures or springs that can affect weighing while the mast is tilted. The Weigh Bars electronically measure the load on the forks and convey this information to embedded summing and angle detection electronics. Compiled digital information is then passed on to the in-cab indicator via a cable or optional wireless connection. The entire carriage assembly is primed and finished with a high grade powder paint. Scale Carriage Exploded View Stock Forks Clear-view Opening The FLSC scale carriage features a completely open center area. The forklift operator can clearly see the fork tips (above). Easy Installation The scale is attached to the existing forklift carriage and uses the forklift s stock forks. If needed, the scale and instrument system can be moved to another truck in minutes. Off-Axis Load Compensation Four Weigh Bars are configured in such a way that off-center or unlevel conditions are compensated for, providing accurate weighments under virtually any conditions, even if the truck is on unlevel ground, the mast is tilted, or the pallet load is off-center. Flexible Data Transmission Stored data can be transmitted in a variety of ways: serial ports, USB (thumb drive), Ethernet or optional Wi-Fi ( b/g). Real-time communication removes the step of manually downloading data via a wired connection. If the wireless link is lost, the Wireless Data Collection instrument will save all data until the link is re-established. The system includes a durable, front-mounted digital scale carriage with Weigh Bar electronic weight sensors and clear-view open center area, as well as a choice of two in-cab instruments. The system allows operators to easily and quickly capture legal-for-trade weight data en route, without extra steps. Seamless Compatibility Simply attach the FLSC 5000 lb scale carriage to an existing Class II cleat-type forklift carriage and mount the FLI 225/425 instrument in a convenient driver location. This system allows seamless integration of weighing and data management into your operations without adding any extra steps or route changes. Robust Design The forklift scale carriage is comprised of two metal plates coupled together by four high capacity Weigh Bars. It incorporates design technologies to withstand the environmental and warehouse jolts common in forklift applications. Patented Accuracy The patented Avery Weigh-Tronix FLSC system monitors the orientation of the scale and maintains accurate weight readings even if the forklift is on unlevel ground, the mast is tilted, or the pallet load is off-center. The forklift drivers are not required to jockey the mast or the position of the load on the scale. The accurate weighing performance of the FLSC has been validated by NCWM (National Conference on Weights and Measures) to weigh legal-for-trade even when tilted: 3 degrees side to side (5% grade) - 5 degrees back (8% grade) 7 degrees forward (12% grade) This electronic scale design has no mechanical flexures or springs to influence the weighing performance. Data Management The FLI 225 instrument provides a simple, no-nonsense solution through classic or enhanced operation for capturing weight and supplying it to a peripheral device. The FLI 425 instrument simultaneously displays multiple fields of data, assisting the operator with a visual reference. Data can be stored on-board or instantly transmitted wirelessly to a local or global network.
