Our customer partnerships and alliances are crucial to this development and our focus on new technologies adds a further dimension to the package. Where others sub-contract, we invest in our own extensive fleet. We operate in excess of 5 Million square feet of warehouse space, spread over 10 sites and a growing number of companies are benefiting from our pioneering rail freight operation. WAREHOUSING SOLUTIONS Our warehousing facilities currently encompass 10 locations in Central Scotland, Lancashire, Yorkshire, Gloucestershire and Northamptonshire.

3 04 05 Road Transport Solutions Rail Transport Solutions We operate innovative and cost effective road transport and distribution solutions, servicing a wide range of industries. Our comprehensive network of 7 day / 24 hour control centres schedule vehicle movements. Traffic planners work closely with our customers and their customers in turn to meet daily demand. Traffic Management Systems (TMS) are in place to enhance this, resulting in systematic management of driver and vehicle operations. This in turn has consequential benefits for, our customers and the environment. The result is reliability and peace of mind for all our customers Services include: Strategically placed distribution centres Experienced transport management and planning at all sites 24 / 7 / 365 customer service Inter depot trunking Satellite tracking In-cab communications Real-time track and trace Advanced planning and operational systems POD scanning and retrieval via internet In 2008 Malcolm Rail, in partnership with Prologis, took operational control of the Daventry International Railfreight Terminal - DIRFT, the largest single inland railfreight terminal in the UK. This expanded our intermodal operations and developed our existing rail-linked warehousing services providing speedy links within the UK and Europe. Malcolm Rail handles UK and European road/rail movements for customers in the manufacturing, logistics and retail sectors, including: ASDA, Ikea, Diageo, Lafarge, The Co-Operative and UPM Kymmene, to name but a few. Moving freight by rail rather than road produces 3.4 times less CO 2 per tonne-km and 70% less carbon emissions. We launched our initial service in 2001 with Direct Rail Services of Carlisle and we now provide reliable daily and overnight transit between the following depots: Grangemouth - Linwood Grangemouth - Aberdeen Grangemouth - Crick (DIRFT) Crick (DIRFT) - Mossend There are 60 train services operated each week between 6 terminals nationwide

4 06 07 Warehousing Solutions Our warehousing facilities currently encompass 10 locations in Central Scotland, Lancashire, Yorkshire, Gloucestershire and Northamptonshire. This is in addition to the considerable warehousing activities which we manage at a number of customer locations throughout the UK. 5 08 09 Secondary Distribution Solutions Specialist Fleet This was launched at our Newhouse Distribution Centre offering a daily service throughout the UK, carried out by our own secondary distribution fleet all of which are equipped with: tail-lifts, satellite tracking and in-cab communication. Loads comprise of goods from our customer s stock in our warehouses, where we can pick from one case level up to multi SKU shipments. Products are also moved by our overnight road and rail Anglo-Scottish services. Our in-house IT team has a strong proven record in providing and maintaining seamless system and data integration with customer s systems. These include major ERP systems such as SAP and HMRC regulatory systems. In conjunction with tailored operational and administrative processes, sophisticated data capture processing and reporting techniques are deployed to provide customers with accurate real-time stock visibility. This integrated approach provides a business critical tool enabling customers to make real-time decisions across the supply chain, from pick up at supplier or factory, through the warehouse facility and on to their final end customer delivery. Our walking floor trailers are multi-functional. They can load and unload a wide variety of products such as loose bulk materials like newspapers or magazines, woodchip or pelleted products and then backload goods on pallets such as glass bottles and paper reels. There is very little that these trailers cannot move. We receive, pick up and dispatch 24 hours a day, 7 days a week Due to their versatility and payload, the volume of journeys for us and our customers is reduced, as well as helping overcome the issue of empty running. This therefore contributes to a reduction in our carbon emissions and that of our customer s. 6 10 Supply Chain Outsourcing Logistics Routes Our core competence is providing integrated warehousing and transportation services, that can be scaled and tailored to each customer s needs. Our solutions are designed to reduce and automate every step of the supply chain process, helping us streamline our customer s logistics operations. Our Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Traffic Management System (TMS) help provide end-to-end control and visibility of all products in the supply chain. These systems fully integrate with all major manufacturing, MRP and ERP platforms including SAP. We also utilise in-house supply chain integration tools to develop links with customer systems, enabling collaboration within the supply chain. Several of our customers have placed their entire supply chain operations in our hands.
