1 THINKING RELOCATION? THINK INTERDEAN. Lump Sum Insurance Documentation We make it easy.
2 INSURANCE GUIDANCE NOTES Here at Interdean, you can be assured that every care is taken by us to protect your goods from the uncertainty of international transit. Despite this, experience has taught us that sometimes the unexpected can happen and accidental loss and/or damage to your goods may occur and as such we are able to offer transit insurance. We recommend that you give careful consideration to this matter and take insurance cover for all shipments, including storage. Sea, Air, Road & Storage cover We are able to offer Marine Cargo Insurance through our contract with a single insurance provider, Pac Global Inc. The policy gives all risks cover from packing through to final delivery by covering all insured perils. For more details and exclusions you should read your Policy Summary document, as well as our insurance Terms & Conditions. How do I arrange cover? After confirming with us you would like to take advantage of Pac Global s insurance, you will need to identify any high value items you wish to insure. Shipment value (including the cost of the move) <EUR 150,000 EUR 150,001- EUR 350,000 EUR 350,001- EUR 750,000 Individual valuation required Any item valued EUR 1,500 or above Any item valued EUR 2,500 or above Any item valued EUR 4,000 or above The value of your shipment is based on a ratio of 2,500 per net cubic meter. Please note we are unable to offer this policy where the total value of the shipment is less that 12,500 or above 750,000. The basis of for this policy is new replacement cost at destination, There are also optional extensions that can be added at an additional premium to include the cover of pairs & sets, mechanical breakdown, and mould & mildew. The cover levels are outlined in the Policy Summary document and we encourage you to read this document carefully. Acceptance of the policies terms and conditions and a list of any high value items must be received prior to shipment in order to ensure cover is in place and Certificate of Insurance can be issued. IMPORTANT NOTES You should obtain an itemised independent appraisal or valuation for any antiques, fine art or other items that you wish to cover for more than 20,000. This is to eliminate any potential reduction for under insurance. Under insurance may be applied if for example a damaged high valued item is insured for 3,000, yet the replacement value is 6,000. Insurers would then deem the item to be under insured by 50% and would therefore only pay 50% of any repair charge. If repairs exceed a declared value, insurer s liability will be limited to the declared value as insurance protection can never be higher than the value you declared. Any items that are excluded from the policy will be deducted from the overall value of cover and will not be insured. Shipping / moving costs can be insured for added peace of mind. This will also cover the shipping costs for any replacement items that cannot be purchased in the destination country.
