8 Quality Assessment system: Recognition system Objectives provide insight in the quality and effectiveness of interventions create an upwards pressure in quality improvement How? Organizations can submit an intervention using a standard submission form Dual quality assessment

9 Dual Quality Assessment: Dutch Recognition System 1. an assessment of the description of the intervention by health promotion practitioners 2. an assessment of the theoretical basis and/or effectiveness of the intervention by a recognition committee (representatives from science, practice and policy) June 2014

19 Lessons Learned (evaluation + experience) Evaluation Stepwise system (adding the level Well-described ) Lower level of effectiveness More emphasis on feasability to create more support in the field of health promot. Experience Involve important stakeholders from the start (Ministry of Health Welfare and Sport, ZONmw). Including multiple sectors/health promotion institutes (Collaborate) creates awareness and makes it robust. Creates more support from national government. Simplify expensive and time consuming Promote use of recognized interventions (Implementation)
