1 Press Release Wednesday 24 th August 2011 EMBARGOED 1130 (FINNISH TIME) FLYBE ANNOUNCES EXTENSIVE NEW ROUTE NETWORK FOLLOWING COMPLETION OF FINNCOMM ACQUISITION <Finland s newest airline shares plans and expands existing network with nine brand new routes to attract more Flying Finns > Flybe, Europe s largest regional airline, now Finland s newest airline following the completion of its joint acquisition with Finnair of Finnish Commuter Airlines (Finncomm) on August 18th, is today announcing its new route network. It features a total of 24 routes offering a choice of up to 416 flights a week. This includes ALL existing routes previously operated by Finncomm together with the addition of nine brand new routes. In supporting Finland Oy, this extended programme features four new routes from Helsinki, four from key regional cities in Finland and one between Sweden s Stockholm Bromma airport and Estonia s capital city, Tallinn. Four of the new routes offer multiple daily frequencies each with a choice of up to three flights a day. Seats are available for booking now at for travel from 30 th October 2011* through to 30 th June, 2012 with fares from 39 Euros one way including taxes and airport charges. The nine new routes are as follows: o Helsinki -- Mariehamn, Aland (2xdaily) o Helsinki Tartu, Estonia (6 per week) o Helsinki Trondheim, Norway (4 per week) o Helsinki Umea, Sweden (4 per week) o Tampere Tallinn, Estonia (3xdaily) o Turku Tallinn* (2xdaily) o Vaasa Tallinn* (6 per week) o Oulu Tallinn* (6 per week)

2 o Tallinn Stockholm Bromma, Sweden (3xdaily) *Flights start November 14 th Mike Rutter, Managing Director Flybe Europe, said: Flybe is extremely proud to have this opportunity to serve Finland, Estonia and the Nordic/Baltic states region. It is a moment we have been working towards for a long time. Today marks a brand new era of affordable travel choices for travellers. The list of new routes includes new destinations from both Helsinki and Tallinn, making regional air travel more affordable and accessible than ever before. The new schedule also offers viable, efficient and realistic alternative methods of travel to existing rail, road and ferry options. It also enhances the comprehensive regional network of direct routes across Finland and throughout the region. This means that passengers no longer have to fly via Helsinki unless they are using the excellent choice of onward connections beyond Helsinki to the rest of the world through Flybe s codeshare agreement with its partner, Finnair. Flybe s new route connecting Turku and Tallinn is a perfect example of the way in which travellers can now fly direct more affordably and conveniently to this popular business and leisure destination without having to transit through Helsinki. Direct flights from Helsinki to Tartu will provide a much-needed link to Estonia s beautiful second city. Those linking Tampere, Vaasa and Oulu with Estonia s capital city will allow those wanting to visit Tallin for business or leisure, the affordable choice of flying direct for the very first time. Flybe s double daily service between Mariehamn and Helsinki is expected to be especially popular with those passengers wanting to travel to destinations across the world with onward seamless travel through Flybe s codeshare partner, Finnair. There is also plenty of good news for Swedish travellers with the country s first ever direct service between Stockholm Bromma and Tallinn. The three times a day service has been timed to give business passengers the choice of convenient day return travel options. Similarly, Flybe s new Umea to Helsinki service offers travellers the real convenience of flying direct to the Finnish capital without having to transit Stockholm saving both time and money. Mr Rutter added: Flybe s partnership with Finnair will offer the same high standards of service that passengers have come to expect from Finncomm - and more.

3 Our joint vision is for Flybe to become the leading regional airline for the Nordic and Baltic regions. We expect the new brand to become quickly established and recognised as the airline of choice for both leisure and business travel. We will be working very hard to ensure that the transition of Finncomm into Flybe over the next two months will be as seamless as possible. Passengers will continue to see the same friendly, professional cabin and flight crews welcoming them on board all of the routes that have been flown by Finncomm. Mr Rutter further commented on Flybe s plans for further expansion into the region that would include the future development of existing routes and those to Latvia, Lithuania and Denmark. He concluded: Flybe is committed to not only supporting Finland Oy and living up to the expectations of Finncomm s existing passengers but also to attracting hundreds of thousands of new passengers. We look forward to introducing them to the Flybe experience and to welcoming on board all those who want to travel with an award winning European airline that has an established reputation for punctuality and affordable, quality flights. <ends> THE FLYBE EXPERIENCE Affordable new fares starting from 39 Euros making regional air travel more accessible - an economically viable alternative to rail, road and ferry options Three ways to buy the Flybe Experience : A la carte Flybe Economy.
