1 There are over 456,000 registered voters in Lee County, Florida. It is highly recommended that voters consider either voting by MAIL, or voting at an EARLY VOTING SITE from SATURDAY, MARCH 5 through SATURDAY MARCH, 12, 2016 from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. For further information contact the LEE COUNTY SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS at leeelections.com or by phone at 239-LEE-VOTE ( ) There are 10 EARLY VOTING locations throughout Lee County. There are 3 CAPE CORAL LOCATIONS. The most convenient for NWNA members would most likely be the CAPE CORAL Early Voting locations at: The NORTHWEST REGIONAL LIBRARY, 519 Chiquita Blvd, N.; The CAPE CORAL - LEE COUNTY LIBRARY Branch, 921 SW 39th Terrace; or, The Lee County Branch office of the Supervisor of Elections at 1039 SE 9th Avenue. From past experience, the early voting location at the NORTHWEST REGIONAL LIBRARY will draw a smaller crowd during early voting. Also, STAFF from the LEE COUNTY ELECTIONS OFFICE will be at many locations throughout LEE COUNTY in the next several weeks (see: leeelections.com -- community events/calendar) to assist voters with: voter registration; vote by mail requests; address changes; party changes; name changes; and, general information. The CAPE CORAL and nearby LOCATIONS for these events (before the February 16, deadline) are listed below. Look

These Cape Coral and nearby community outreach locations are: FEBRUARY 6, 2016: Cape Coral Farmer's Market 8:00AM to 1:00PM; Cape Coral Library 9:00AM to 1:00PM. FEBRUARY 8, 2016: Cape Coral Hospital 10:00AM to 2:00PM. FEBRUARY 11, 2016: River District Farmer's Market (2000 W. First Street, Ft. Suarez Hall 419 Royal Palm Park Rd. Fort Myers, FL Fort Myers, FL (January 25, 2016) Florida is a Closed Primary State and the March 15th Presidential Preference Primary (PPP) is a Closed Primary. You can only vote for candidates within your respective party. That means that you must be registered Republican to vote for the Republican candidate or you must be registered Democrat to vote for the Democratic candidate. Registered voters who are NPA, No Party Affiliation, or are registered with a minor party, are not eligible to vote in the PPP. If you are following a specific candidate and want to be able to cast your vote for that candidate, then you must select the party affiliation of that candidate.
4 Florida law requires that Florida residents must be registered to vote or make a party affiliation change 29 days before an election. The deadline to register to vote or change your party for the PPP is February 16th. You can find a Florida voter registration application under the Voter tab. Please don t wait until the February 16th deadline! If you are already a registered voter in Florida and moved into or within Lee County, call LEE-VOTE ( ) to update your information with our office. Your address determines the different districts you live in; what you are eligible to vote on, and your voting location. Florida law requires that you vote in the precinct where you lay your head at night. It is a felony to vote in the wrong precinct. Florida law provides for three methods of voting: Early Voting, Vote by Mail, and Election Day. Early Voting will begin Saturday, March 5th through Saturday, March 12th, (including Sunday March 6th) 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. For our voters convenience, there are 10 Early Voting sites around Lee County and you may vote at any of the Early Voting locations during those dates. Early Voting locations with directions are listed under the Elections tab. Many people choose to Vote by Mail as an easy, convenient way to vote. If you choose to vote by mail, please vote your ballot and return it to our office as soon as possible. It must be received in our Office by 7 p.m. March 15th. We verify every signature on every vote by mail ballot returned to our office, so it is very
5 important to have your most current signature on record with our office. Election Day voting must be done in your designated precinct only. Your precinct is listed on your voter information card. There is a complete list of all Lee County precincts on the Home page. You are required to show current and valid photo identification and signature when you vote. The following forms may be used as long as they have not expired: United States Passport, debit or credit card, military identification, student identification, retirement center identification, neighborhood association identification, and public assistance identification. The Lee County Supervisor of Elections Office is dedicated to servicing our public. We strive for success and excellence in shaping the future of voting in Lee County by empowering every eligible citizen with the tools and education necessary to exercise his or her right to vote. We endeavor to guarantee the integrity and accuracy of every election by administering fair and appropriate voting procedures in compliance with federal and state election laws.
