Please bring your child s birth certificate and one parent s or child s baptismal certificate to the school office any weekday Price Change. TELL THEM FROM ME SURVEY RESULTS Our Saint Kateri Tell them From Me Survey is now available. You can view it at: MILK PROGRAM The cost of the milk program will be increased starting in January. The cost is $16 for ml (small) cartons of milk. This means that the cost per carton will go from.75 cents to.80 cents/ carton. This increase was necessary in order to cover the GST and delivery costs charged by our distributors. DRESSING FOR GYMNASTICS Transportation Fees All classes are starting a gymnastic unit in January. The annual transportation fee payable by parents whose child(ren) use district provided transportation services is now due. The fee may be paid online or at your school. For your information, the CCSD s annual transportation fee amount per child of $270 is 5-10% of the district s actual annual cost of transporting a child. The remaining 90-95% cost of each child s transportation is provided by provincial government transportation grants. All efforts to pay your portion of this fee are greatly appreciated. However, those families with financial challenges, who are unable to pay their fees, are asked to make an appointment with the school principal in order to be considered for a fee waiver. In order to keep all students safe,we are asking you to remind your children to dress appropriately. Girls are asked to have something to tie their hair back, and to not ware jewelry during this unit.

8 Accountability Pillar As an annual check-up on the education system, the Accountability Pillar provides an opportunity for Alberta Education and school authorities to ensure that we are equipping students for success. The Accountability Pillar uses a set of 16 indicators consisting of surveys of students, parents and teachers on various aspects of quality; student outcomes such as dropout and high school completion rates; and provincial assessments of student learning. From January to the end of February, Alberta Education will be conducting the annual Accountability Pillar Survey. In January, parents of students in grades 4, 7 and 10 will receive a survey from Alberta Education. In February, students in grades 4, 7 and 10 and all teachers will be completing their surveys online at school. All surveys are anonymous and ask questions about experiences with the school. In addition to English and French, the parent survey is available in Chinese, Punjabi, Arabic, Blackfoot, Cree, Korean, Spanish, Tagalog and Urdu. Your participation in the survey helps provide important information on the quality of education your child is receiving, so we encourage you to return your survey promptly. Survey results will be available to school authorities in May 2015, and will be reported publicly as part of their 3-Year Education Plans and Annual Education Results Reports.
