11 FOCUS ON RENEWABLE ENERGY AND ENVIRONMENT Photo: Øyvind Wold / VisitOSLO A main challenge for Norway today is to make use of existent know-how in developing environmentally friendly solutions both for conventional and renewable energy sources Oslo Energy Network is an advisory board with leaders from the offshore and renewable industries in the Oslo region, linking established technology and knowledge with new energy opportunities. Oslo Teknopol is secretariat. Oslo Renewable Energy and Environment Cluster (OREEC) is a network organisation focusing on solar, wind, hydrogen, bioenergy and waste management. 11

Norwegians' desire for more efficient, entertaining and mobile ways of communication has placed them in the forefront of adapting and developing new mobile and wireless products and services.
