1 Course Information 2014 At the Volkswagen Driving Academy, we offer a full range of advanced driving courses designed to help ensure your personal safety on the road. Not only will you gain practical driving experience, but also confidence to deal with potential dangers, from avoiding collisions, to the optimal way to respond in a hijack situation. Course vehicles include the jaw-dropping GTI, pulse racing Golf R Scirocco R, the smart and tough Amarok and the innovative Touareg. The Volkswagen Driving Academy is based at the Kyalami Grand Prix Racing Circuit in Johannesburg. Open to all members of the public, annual road shows also take these courses to Cape Town and Durban. A certificate of either participation and/or competence, which is valid for one year, is awarded to you on completion of each course. Our advanced driving courses benefit from the latest developments in driver safety, and our experienced and professional instructors will help you have fun while you learn.

2 Hi-Jack Prevention Course Ever been faced with the fear of being hi-jacked? One of the most beneficial courses the Academy has to offer. Learn techniques, escape routes and other important information to either avoid the situation or survive the potential possibility of being hi-jacked. 3 Skidpan Driving Course Get to grips with Volkswagen's cutting edge technology as you experience the safety features embedded into their vehicles. Start this half-day course with a lesson in vehicle grip and traction, whereby a practical on the skidpan follows. Learn the various skids and the corrective actions required to handle them. 7 GTI Night Driving Course Anyone can drive fast in a straight line, but not everyone can react quickly and safely around corners. This night driving course will give you the ability to vary your speeds effectively according to different road and traffic conditions. The evening will start with a lesson in vehicle dynamics, and then put theory into practice as you experience emergency simulations on the skidpan. Hone your technique through practical exercises on the race circuit, as you learn about Volkswagen s technological and safety features. Best of all, all these techniques will be practiced in the dark. Golf 7 GTIs will be provided Duration: 4 Hours - Skidpan & Track Time: 17h00 to 20h30 R incl. VAT (Light dinner snacks included)

8 Advanced Safety Driving Course Start this full-day course with a lesson in vehicle grip and traction, whereby a practical on the skidpan follows. Learn the various skids and the corrective actions required to handle them. The defensive driving part ensures greater awareness when faced with day-to-day driving situations. Learn how to predict and identify hazards and the escape routes, in order to place your vehicle in the safest possible position on the road. This will also help you acknowledge your strengths and limitations and how to use them to your best ability. 9 GTI High Performance Driving Course The faster you re driving, the harder it becomes to react quickly and safely to corners and obstacles on the road. This full day course includes Skidpan and Track Driving Courses and will teach you to identify different road and traffic conditions and how to react to them in the safest way possible for you and everyone around you. Your day begins with a lesson in vehicle dynamics, because understanding how your actions will affect your car is essential to making the right decisions. Then put theory into practice as you experience emergency simulations on the skidpan. Hone your technique through practical exercises on the race circuit, as you learn about Volkswagen s technological and safety features. 13 Touareg Experience Your day starts with an in-depth theory session in vehicle dynamics, before heading to the skidpan, where you ll learn the various skids and the corrective actions required to handle them. The basic Off-road module gives you the opportunity to experience the Touareg and its unique off-road features and functions over the different types of terrain and obstacles. 14 Amarok Driving Academy Amarok Advanced Safety Driving Course Start this full-day course with a lesson in vehicle dynamics, whereby a practical on the skidpan follows. 15 Amarok Driving Academy Amarok Experience Experience the Amarok and the power of tough used smartly. The day starts with some insights into vehicles dynamics and off-road theory, followed by the chance to tackle various terrains and obstacles on our challenging 4x4 route. You ll learn various 4x4 techniques, as well as methods you can use to conquer any obstacle. The Skidpan modules will also be included to showcase the Amarok s incredible on-road capability. 16 Corporate Functions & Team Building Nothing brings a team together like the exhilaration of group activity on our race track. Team members can enjoy advanced driving tuition and then get to put theory into practice as they drive around the Circuit and learn about skids and how to deal with them on the Skidpan.
