We are used to undertaking our assignments in close collaboration with customers. One example of this is the development, at the request of FMV, of solutions to convert the current circuit-switched telephony system of the Swedish Armed Force s telecommunications network to IP-based telephony. Using a shared IP platform as a carrier for various services, e.g. telephony, represents cost-effective utilisation of the communications infrastructure. another exemple is the solution we developed to help the major airports in Sweden satisfy new regulatory requirements from the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). It has long been a requirement that all radio and telephone traffic into and out of air traffic control must be recorded to enable evaluation in the event of a crash or an incident. The new requirements meant that it was also necessary to record background noise and ambient noise in the control tower. Combitech formulated and designed a solution that met both ICAO s requirements and the requirement for personal privacy.
