5 Planning Information Use of components on separate machines. WebSphere Business Integration V4.1 composite component consists of several run-time elements: CrossWorlds InterChange Server WebSphere MQ Integrator Broker for Multiplatforms V2.1 Message Broker component MQSeries Workflow V3.3.2 (Includes WebSphere MQ V5.2) Note CrossWorlds InterChange server release levels June 11, 2002, V4.1 (U.S. English only) June 28, 2002, V4.1.1 (National Language Support) Combinations of these run-time elements must be installed on up to three registered machines at any one time under the terms and conditions of the WebSphere Business Integration V4.1 license. It is the use of the WebSphere Business Integration V4.1 that determines how Capacity Unit (CU) requirements are calculated. If the WebSphere Business Integration V4.1 is required on multiple servers, additional CUs for each server will be required. Calculations must be made using the appropriate type of processor for the operating system in use. Customer Responsibilities: The customer must provide the minimum hardware and software environments in which the licensed programs reside. The customer must identify the machines on which they will install WebSphere Business Integration V4.1. The customer or program provider must identify the number or processors in each machine and then calculate the total number of licenses required. Problem determination (PD) is a customer responsibility. PD is an assessment of whether a problem is caused by hardware or software. PD is complete only when the cause of the problem is identified. This assessment includes examination of available symptoms using the PD procedures documented in the product. Problem source identification (PSI) is a customer responsibility. PSI begins when software is determined to be the source of the problem. PSI includes tracing the source of the program to a host system control program (SCP), an application program, or another source. Assisting the customer with PSI is an IBM service and support responsibility. Security, Auditability, and Control The announced program uses the security and auditability features of the operating system. The customer is responsible for evaluation, selection, and implementation of security features, administrative procedures, and appropriate controls in application systems and communication facilities. Ordering Information The license structure is based on CU. The number of CUs required is based on the number of symmetrical multiprocessors installed in the largest server machine per the following table. This machine is known as the reference server. Other machines, if used, are called associated servers. The licensee may install any combination of components

The licensee may install other components of WebSphere Business Integration, not installed on the reference server, on an associated server without additional charge. No component product may be installed on more than one server machine (reference server or associated server), except where stated below. These terms and conditions are in addition to the terms and conditions contained in the individual program licenses. CrossWorlds InterChange Server The licensee may install and use this component on one of the servers on which WebSphere Business Integration is licensed. CrossWorlds Full Toolset CrossWorlds Full Toolset requires a user license to install and use each copy of each component of the CrossWorlds Full Toolset. WebSphere Business Integration includes one concurrent user license per reference server on which WebSphere Business Integration is licensed. This license may be installed and used on any single machine. If additional user licenses are required, they must be purchased separately. CrossWorlds Connectors Each CrossWorlds Connector requires one connector license for each application instance. WebSphere Business Integration includes one license for a single instance of each of the following connectors per reference server on which WebSphere Business Integration is licensed. CrossWorlds Connector for WebSphere MQ Integrator V2.1 CrossWorlds Connector for WebSphere MQ V5.2 CrossWorlds Connector for MQSeries Workflow V3.3.2 The license does not cover the use of any other CrossWorlds Connectors or CrossWorlds Collaborations included in the media pack. Where any additional CrossWorlds Connector or CrossWorlds Collaborations licenses are required, they must be purchased separately. CrossWorlds XML Data Handler This requires a license for every connection. WebSphere Business Integration includes a license for five connections to the server on which the CrossWorlds InterChange Server component of WebSphere Business Integration is licensed. MQSeries Workflow V3.3.2 The licensee may install and use a single copy on one of the servers on which WebSphere Business Integration is licensed. DB2 UDB The DB2 UDB included with these offerings has a restricted license. Refer to the Usage Restriction section. Passport Advantage Ordering Information Software maintenance (defined as Software Subscription and Technical Support) is included with all licenses for a period of 12 months from the date of acquisition, providing a streamlined way to stay current and assure technical support coverage for all licenses. You can elect to extend coverage for a total of two years from the date of acquisition. Software maintenance also provides access to current/future software versions/releases, and technical support during the support period. There is automatic notification of software maintenance renewal at the end of your coverage period.
