2 ABOUT DOLPHIN "... dolphins are gregarious, fast, intelligent and friendly. They are also superb communicators..." Dolphin is a software program developed and promoted by Milltronics, acting as a communications forum for its Dolphin compatible application devices. Dolphin's main purpose is to serve as a remote console to the associated device, providing viewing and programming capabilities. Dolphin is also invaluable as a means of saving and restoring the device parameter values to and from disk. 4 DOLPHIN INSTALL Insert Dolphin disk into selected drive. To install Dolphin, view Windows' Program Manager. click 'File' click 'Run' PL-441 4

5 Command Line: enter source drive holding Dolphin disk and Dolphin execute command (install.exe) e.g. A: INSTALL.EXE Install To: select directory, default is C:\DOLPHIN click 'OK' PL-441 5

8 SAVE / LOAD click 'File' The file menu offers 5 save / load commands. Save All Parameters to Disk used as a diagnostic reporting tool to save or record all pararmeter values. Save Setup Parameters to Disk creates a backup file of the setup parameter values, in the event of having to reprogram the application device or to copy parameter values to another device. Load Parameters form Disk loads the stored setup parameter values into the application device's EPROM. Save Flash ROM to Disk creates a backup of the application device's operating program prior to upgrading software. Load Flash ROM from Disk loads the operating program into the application device's ROM. If it is desired to change communication to another device without exiting Dolphin, close all 'Tools' and 'Help' windows. click 'Settings' click selected serial communication port, e.g. ' COM2:' transfer the ComVerter to the other device click 'Settings' click serial communication port, e.g. 'COM2:' PL-441 9
