2 Or press the crrespnding Call Line buttn, lcated right f the screen. If yu nly press the buttn withut lifting the handset, it will put yu n speaker phne with the incming call. 2. If yu wuld like t use a different methd: Press the Speaker buttn t answer with the Speaker phne. Press the Headset buttn t answer with yur cnnected headset. Making Calls: 3. Start by either: Lifting the handset; Pressing the Headset buttn; Pressing the Speaker buttn; r Pressing the buttn if an idle Call Line is available. 4. Then dial the number yu want t enter. Remember t dial 9 fr an utside number. Putting a Call n Hld: 5. While in a call, press the Phne buttn t get t the main Phne menu. 6. Press the crrespnding Call Line buttn t chse t call which yu wuld like t put n hld. 7. Press the Hld sftkey. 8. Press the Resume sftkey t take the call ff f hld. Transferring a Call: 9. While in a call, press the Phne buttn t get t the main Phne menu. 10. Press the Transfer sftkey. Then either: Press the Call Lg sftkey t find the number in the list f recent calls; Press the Cntacts sftkey t find a persn; r Dial the phne number with the dialpad. 11. Press the Cmplete sftkey t finish the transfer. 2. Creating and Saving Cntacts Creating Cntacts 1. Press the Cntacts buttn. 2. Press the Mre sftkey. 3. Press the New sftkey. 4. Enter the name using the Dialpad. T enter characters using the Dialpad:

3 Press the number key that crrespnds t the ltter r number yu want t enter until the letter r number is displayed. Example: Fr the letter F, yu must press the 3 key three times. Remember t pause befre entering the next character if the characters are n the same key. Enter remaining letters r numbers. T enter a space, press 0. Press the Bksp sftkey t delete the last character. 5. When finished, press the buttn r the OK sftkey. 6. Once finished with the name, press the Dwn arrw t select the phne number, and prceed t enter it. 7. Press the Save sftkey r the buttn. Calling Cntacts 8. Press the Cntacts buttn. 9. Scrll up r dwn t select the persn r number yu want t call. 10. Press the Call sftkey r the buttn. 3. Using the Call Lg Making a Call 1. Press the Call Lg buttn. Nte: If the Call Lg buttn is glwing red, yu have a missed call. 2. Press the Left arrw r Right arrw t view the fllwing different call types: All Calls Missed Calls Answered Calls Outging Calls 3. After selecting the type f call, press the Up arrw r Dwn arrw t select the persn r numberfrm the previus selectin. 4. Press the buttn r the Call sftkey. Adding a Number frm the Call Lg t the Cntact List 5. Press the Call Lg buttn. 6. Find the number thrugh the prcess listed abve. 7. Press the +Cntact sftkey. T edit the name r number, press the Up arrw r Dwn arrw t select the crrespnding field, then enter the name, number r type f phne entry, then type the name r number using the Dialpad. 8. Press the Save sftkey r the buttn.

4 4. Cnference Calls Making a Cnference Call 1. Make yur initial call by either finding the cntact in the Cntact List r by dialing the number. 2. Press the Phne buttn t ensure that yu are in the main Phne menu. 3. Press the Cnference sftkey. Frm this menu yu can either: Press the Call Lg sftkey t find the number in the list f recent calls; Press the Cntacts sftkey t find a persn; r Dial the phne number with the dialpad. 4. Press the buttn r Jin sftkey t finalize the Cnference. Adding a Persn n Hld 5. While in a call, press the Phne buttn t ensure that yu are in the main Phne menu. 6. Press the Cnference sftkey. Frm this menu yu can either: Scrll with the Up and Dwn arrws t select the call yu wuld like t add. 7. Press the Resume sftkey. 8. Press the Jin sftkey. Drpping the Last Persn 5. Frward 9. While in a call, press the Phne buttn. 10. Press the Details sftkey. 11. Scrll t the persn yu want t drp with the Up and Dwn arrws. 12. Press the Drp sftkey. Frwarding A Call T set frwarding: 2. Pick up the receiver and listen fr a dial tne. 3. Dial * Enter Extensin # t Frward t New #. 5. Listen fr Cnfirmatin Tne (3 beeps) 6. Hang up the receiver. T cancel frwarding: 8. Pick up the receiver and listen fr a dialtne. 9. Dial # Listen fr Cnfirmatin Tne (3 beeps). 11. Hang up the receiver.

5 6. Send All Calls Thrugh the Phne In the main menu, yu can press SendAllCalls sftkeys n the Left f the screen r at the Bttm f the screen t tggle SendAllCalls On r Off. Calling the Phne Yu can als dial * 3 t set Send All Calls and # 3 t unset. 7. Other Basic Infrmatin 1. Press the buttn t get back t the main phne screen at any time. 2. The buttn will take yu t vic . Fr mre infrmatin n vic , see the vic reference. 3. The white rectangular buttns under the screen are the sft key buttns; functins n these buttns change depending n what yu re ding. 4. Each phne has 3 line appearances f the prgrammed number. That lets yu take multiple calls, transfer calls, etc. We nrmally prgram these line appearances n the first three buttns. 5. With the 9600, yu can change these buttns by ging t the Phne Menu > Optins & Settings > Applicatin Settings > Persnalize Labels..., selecting the label and changing it visa vie the number pad. 8. Advanced Features Adjusting Brightness r Cntrast 1. Press the Menu buttn. 2. Scrll t Optins & Settings. 3. Press r the Select sftkey. 4. Scrll t Screen & Sund Optins. 5. Press r the Select sftkey. 6. Scrll t and Select either Brightness r Cntrast. 7. Press r the Change sftkey. 8. Scrll t the right r left t decrease r increase respectively the brightness r cntrast, based n which yu decided t adjust in the Screen & Sund Optins menu. 9. Press the Save sftkey.
