DM (Domestic Violence) Black Eyes Blue Tears Shania Twine Shania The next song, that I m gonna do, is the song that I wrote very specifically for battered and abused women. I hope to inspired you had been outta there or who s been in the situation. Called Black Eyes Blue Tears. Black Eyes Blue Tears DV Skimming ) 2) 3) reading 4) Scanning 2

DM (Domestic Violence) Consolidation Black Eyes Blue Tears DV Writing I was very surprised at this information. I hear men kill women. The reason why a woman become a killer is from many abused experiences. I wondered if abusing makes a woman perpetrator of a domestic homicide. I know her sadness, anger, aching. I must consider these things for myself. (Koyama) I m surprised to know that a lot of women have experienced domestic violence by an intimate partner. I think domestic violence is a big problem in America, but it s also increasing in Japan. Domestic violence happens in personal places, so it is difficult to notice what happens in home. (Hiyama) I think the domestic violence and the stalking are the same thing. Both of them perpetrate against the weak person like women or children. Why do they do so? Can the violence solve the matter? (Kobayashi) I didn t know that DV is more prevalent among immigrant women than among U.S. citizen. I am surprised that percentage about DV is higher than the number which I imagined. (Nakagawa) I don t know why men abuse. Is it because men prevail over women and children in physical power? But I can t understand it. Are men so stupid? In my family I haven t never had the situation of the fear from my parents, so I can t catch the air in my heart. I think the word violence is nonsence among the people who don t know the way of use. But I maybe only be the one who thinks so. (Akiyama) 3

DM (Domestic Violence) I was surprised when I read this about domestic violence. It is cruel that husbands abuse weak wives. I think that men shouldn t batter women in any case. I think that husbands should discuss their wives without violence. In spite of any reason, it is terrible that men abuse women. (Amano) Domestic violence has immediate and long term detrimental effects on children. First, abused women (mothers) also have been gotten detrimental effects by DV both mentally and physically. And if their children have been gotten DV or not, it seems to give the same detrimental effects for children. I am very surprised at the number and rate of DV. Intimate partner of different gender should be a person who should relied on most and be important. But, in reality, they abuse their partner at high rate. I am very sad they should defend their partner. (Kawaguchi) Last year I had studied child abuse I think Domestic Violence is almost abuse. In America police men cannot be involved in such a thing and problem but Japan has problem of privacy and family so involvement of the police to the problem is very difficult. Exactly having violence is very bad but they can t express their emotion only using violence. They should be sad people. I felt Losing Violence find inside of mind last year. (Honma) 70% of intimate partner homicide victims are women. I can t believe this statistics. I can t believe intimate-partner perpetrate homicide. I think intimate-partner is the most reliable person. (Miyauchi) I was surprised at from 40% to 60% of men s violence to women and children. I fear marriage. My father is so a good father. He is so kind and drives, cooks, cleans, and so on. I can t believe this domestic violence. But this current is real. Domestic violence is positive crime. I hope domestic violence will be none. (Kitagawa) I m 20 years old, so I m in the very group. Considering age 19-29, her partner is almost the same age. The age is when independence from parents, school and social protection. I think such a man is unbalance. So he thinks bad things are caused by female partner and he is violent to her. (Nakazawa) I really found there are hardly cases which women do domestic violence to men. It is natural but if women had physical power more than men, men couldn t abuse women so much, in short men control women by their physical power and they know they can use it themselves. in one study, 27% of domestic homicide victims were children it means that men have injured the people who are weaker or more powerless than them. To tell radically, if women and men were in distinctive world, 4

DM (Domestic Violence) I wonder they couldn t have violence to women. But it is impossible, so we really think of it and should find the ways of resolving. (Ogawa) The fact women visiting emergency rooms were suspected the victims about domestic violence by nurse and physicians. It is proved that domestic violence increase in several places. I don t want to believe the fact. And mostly domestic violence injured women. (Komuro) I was surprised the fact in the report that there are many DV problems in U.S.A., recently even in Japan. In many cases, Japanese culture have been like the imitation of the culture in America. Therefore it is said that American culture will come into the Japanese culture after 10 years. (Saitou) I was surprised that many women are battered. I think it s very serious problem because it can happen for me. I don t know why they do batter. (Ishii) It is the worst that men abuse women. We often hear this speech. All men and women say so. But, in fact, violence occurs instead of this speech. I hardly meet somebody who was abused, but my friends may be abused by their boyfriends because violence against women occurs in 20% of dating couples. I wish my friends are really happy with their boyfriends. I think violence is the worst thing especially to children and somebody he loves. I hope violence never happen forever. (Yoshimura) Now this is the important problem. It is very difficult for other people to notice domestic violence. There is no clear difference between violence and discipline. (Mizoroke) I was very surprised that the number of DV victims and I was disappointed the fact that there are many men who oppresses women and children with violence. Recently many people claim, as we say, the equality between men and women. Even if the equality were realized, there would be differences of power between men and women. So the government should establish a law to defense women s situation. (Kaga) Nowadays in Japan, Domestic Violence is the most important problem. We can also hear the problem to the news. The part of my strong impression is one study of women visiting emergency room for treatment found that 54% had been threatened or injured by an intimate partner at some time in their lives, and 24% report having been injured by their current partner in the past. This case is the same between Japan and America. There are many emergency rooms in America but Japan don t. I think Japan must have much more room. Because if there aren t many rooms, or can t help their Domestic Violence in Japan (Matsuo) 5

DM (Domestic Violence) I think a man who kills his child should not become a parent. A parent must love his child. Why are children killed during a domestic violence? They don t do anything wrong. (Nishimura) I m surprised that violence against women by the intimate is more than violence against men. I was really shocked that men tend to be violent to women. Domestic Violence affect life after the domestic violence. He was given domestic violence at any age. And he has possibility that he gives violence to others. From it I think if domestic violent is ended, all violence is also ended. And from children violence will continue to his children. So I think violence must be stopped. (Sugihama) I have shocked to know that some date of the domestic violence. Especially the topic in homes where partner abuse occurs, children are 1,500 times more likely to be abused gave me the shock. 1,500 times.. It s too long. What affection would be result to children. The children must have the hurt that would be never forgotten in their mind. (Kimura) Almost DV had been caused by male. I know that result now. I m feeling huge sadness. Anytime, always so many female have taken DV by male (intimate). I thought that DV is American society s problem. But now this problem is prevalent in Japan. The most conservative estimate teaches us how many female have been taken DV but this is a part of result. Finally, there are so many DV happened in my society. I thought that there are so many people have been arrested suspected for DV. (Sugiyama) I was surprised that many women are suffered from nonfatal violence by an intimate. I knew this result which is nearly 1 in 3 adult women experience at least one physical assault by partner during adulthood and I was shocked. I felt that this is a serious social problem (Miyosih) I was surprised that 90 95% of domestic violence victims are women. Because I didn t know that many women are violenced from men. First I thought some women are violenced from men. I think it is too many women who are violenced by men. They need too many women who are voilenced from men. They need to divorce their husband. For example physical teachers protects them. These problems are very difficult. Because these can t be resolved soon. I hope they are happy that they can run away from their husband.
