2 LONDON Anthony Durnford London Marine and Energy Technical Claims Manager Office: ++44 (0) Mobile: ++44 (0) Anthony joined Navigators in 2006 having spent fifteen years at Hiscox gaining a wide spectrum of knowledge and experience within their various claims departments. Anthony commenced his career within the insurance industry in 1989 having worked at a lead broking house as a broker for Heath Lambert before being approached to join Hiscox as part of their non- marine claims team and progressing through to claims management. Since joining the industry Anthony has built up extensive firsthand experience in all aspects of marine, non-marine and energy claims handling, including multifaceted litigation and complex coverage matters. Anthony currently works as the Marine and Energy Technical Claims Manager for Navigators Europe and is based in London overseeing the London claims teams, including Marine and Energy. Anthony is a member of the Claims Global Leadership team and sits on the joint marine claims committee. Mark has been working within the marine insurance industry on the claims side since 1987 starting out as a broker for Bowring Camper and Nicholson, part of the Marsh Group, before joining Royal Insurance prior to its merger with Sun Alliance when it became RSA. Mark spent 22 years at RSA working in various capacities in the Marine Claims Department. During that time Mark handled most classes of marine business, starting out on the team, moving into Energy, running the Yacht team and latterly was Senior Claims Adjuster on the Hull and Liability team. Mark s experience includes handling litigation, mediation and coverage disputes at all levels across multiple classes of marine business. Mark holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Maritime Law. Mark currently works within the Marine and Energy division of the claims team based in London, handling all aspects of Marine claims. 3 Malcolm Page Office: ++44 (0) Mobile: ++44 (0) Malcolm joined Navigators in 2010 bringing with him a wealth of Market experience which began in 1970 when he joined Lloyds Underwriters Claims office in London to work predominantly on cargo and reinsurance claims. Malcolm continued to grow within Lloyds for almost forty years accumulating expertise in their various departments including LUCO; LUCRO; LCO and finally Xchanging, where he worked most recently as a and Claims adjuster. Malcolm has extensive experience in North American claims handling, all aspects of complex claims settlement, and ongoing litigation often through to court appearance. Malcolm currently works within the Marine division of the claims team based in London dedicating his time primarily to, Reinsurance and Liability claims both for Navigators Syndicate and Navigators Insurance Company. Helene has been working within the marine industry since 1995 having gained an LLB and LLM in Maritime Law from Southampton University. Following this Helene went on to obtain her ACII and in 2012 became a qualified Chartered Insurer. Helene is fluent in Greek and currently works within the Marine and Energy division of the claims team based in London handling, Fine Art and, Hull, Liability, Transport and Reinsurance claims both for Navigators Syndicate and Navigators Insurance Company. 4 Paul Whellams Paul joined Navigators in 2009 having spent eight years working as a and Claims adjuster at Lloyd s Xchanging Claims office, based in London. Paul has been working within the marine claims industry since 1974 having commenced his career with Commercial Union where he gained extensive experience working within their UK Agency, International Marine and Territorial Marine departments as well as their London Regional Marine Centre. 5 ROTTERDAM Richard Schenk Rotterdam Marine Richard joined Navigators in 2014 after two and a half years as a Marine in the Rotterdam office of a Lloyd s Syndicate insurer. Richard commenced his career within the insurance industry as a cargo claims adjuster for the Lloyd s agent in Rotterdam in In that role, Richard dealt with a wide variety of cargo claims for the major Marine Insurance Companies worldwide. In September 1997, his job extended to handle the recovery against liable third parties. In 2002 he took on Hull & Machinery cases, mainly for the German market.
