1 Order-In-Hand Mobile Order for Android Version /06/14 Order-In-Hand Mobile Order provides a mobile solution to manage orders or customers on your Android device. Mobile Order is a very powerful tool that can be used for businesses of all sizes. The uses of Mobile Order can vary from setting up an order with a basic inventory for a single customer, up to complicated orders for hundreds of customers. Mobile Order features: Instant data access when away from Internet connection Location-aware features Ability to manage sales rep customers Receive updates over mobile data and WiFi connections Set custom prices for customers On-The-Spot price overrides Unmatched barcode and RFID scanning Getting Started To begin using Order-In-Hand Mobile Order, sign up for an account at You will need to choose a unique Username and Password for your account. Depending on the service you have chosen, you may need more than one account. This is common with Mobile Order, where you will have one management account and could have multiple user accounts. For example, if you will have five employees using Mobile Order, each will need their own iscanlist account in addition to your management account for a total of six accounts.

2 Account Configuration After you have signed up for your account, log in and begin the configuration of your account. This configuration will include standard account settings such as addresses, defaults for files that will be used, database connection settings, and roster files. Home This button will take you to the iscanlist.com home page. Account The Account tab is used to edit the Name, Primary and Secondary , file configurations, and Device IDs attached to the account. MySQL Database The MySQL Database tab will let you configure the connection settings for your database. Contact your database administrator for this information if you do not have it available. Data Upload The Data Upload tab is used to upload an Excel file (CSV, XLS, XLSX) to your iscanlist.com account and convert it to a SQLite database file. DB FTP The DB FTP tab is used to enter your FTP information to upload files to your database. Item The Item tab is used to upload item files to your database. This is used when taking orders and requires a Scan-Code and Description. Optional fields include ItemID, Price, Pack size, UOM (Unit of Measure), Availability, Image, and Comments. Price The Price tab is used to upload price files to your database. Assign Customers The Assign Customers tab is used to upload customer files to your database, as well as select who the seller is for this particular account. OIH Templates The OIH Templates tab is used to upload template files to your database. Grids The Grids tab is where you will manage your existing grids. Contact The Contact tab provides contact information for SerialIO. Logout Choose the Logout button to log out of iscanlist.com.

3 Order-In-Hand Mobile Order on Android Order Manager Order Manager will bring up a list of orders. This includes orders currently being used and orders that were previously used or uploaded. You can also edit these orders, upload a new order, or delete orders from this screen. New Order Create a new order, using the existing customer or a new customer. You may be prompted with several screens throughout this process.

4 Camera Scan Use the phone or tablet s built-in camera to scan a barcode. Upload Order Upload the current order to your iscanlist account. Options From the Options menu, you can configure the application settings. iscanlist Options allows you to enter your iscanlist.com account information. Mobile Data Options allows you to select existing databases or upload a database from your iscanlist.com account to the mobile device. This is also where you can update setting changes made from your iscanlist.com account to the Android device using the Update Mobile Order Data button.

5 View Website Shortcut to your List-In-Hand Mobile List login page. Show Customer List Shows a list of customers available from your database, allowing you to place the order per customer. Registration Shows the registration status of Mobile Order or allows you to register your product. About Shows the version of Mobile Order in use. Quit Mobile Order Closes Mobile Order. Serial Device Manager The Serial Device Manager is used to connect scanners that are paired with the Android device to Mobile Order. Order Options Tap and hold the Order Options icon to review header info, credit an order, add a new item, change the header data, or view the customer information for the order currently open.

6 Order-In-Hand Mobile Order Uses Simple Order Taking With simple order taking, no extra setup needs to be done for your account. This is the most basic Mobile Order configuration. From the main Mobile Order window, open the menu and choose New Order. This will open a list of your customers. Select the customer you will be placing the order for. You will be prompted for comments on this order. You can now begin scanning barcodes for the items being ordered for this customer. Complex Order Taking This configuration requires that a Mobile Order Setup Profile be applied to your login. Contact Serialio.com to set up the profile for your individual user or for all users within your organization.

7 Just like with simple ordering, open your menu, click New Order, and select the customer. In this example, we will select which address orders are shipped to, what Purchase Order number is being tied to the order, which Web Cart to use, and we can add any special instructions. You can begin scanning inventory barcodes to add to the order now.

8 Upload Database files from iscanlist.com Example This section will guide you through uploading your Item and Customer files to your iscanlist.com account. Without these files you will not be able to use Mobile Order because there would not be any data to link to. 1. Log in to iscanlist.com using the username and password you created. 2. Click the item tab on the left side of the screen. You will also want to select the column separator your file is using. In this case, my file is tab delimited so I have selected Tab. 3. Click the Browse button. 4. Browse to the folder your data files are stored in and select the item file. a. Note: I have one file that is a tab delimited CSV and one file that is a standard XLS Excel file. iscanlist.com can accept both formats.

9 5. When the file is uploaded, the filename will be displayed next to the Browse button. 6. Click Upload. 7. You will be prompted to set your mapping. This is where your column headers become relevant. iscanlist.com requires Scan_Code and Description (UPC_EAN and Item_Name are the related headers in my file). You can map optional fields as well. Drag and drop the fields from the top menu into the appropriate boxes below. 8. Check that your file was uploaded properly. It will display under Uploaded files: at the bottom of the item tab screen.

10 This will upload your item file. Now for the customer file. 9. Click the assign customers tab from the left. 10. Select the Seller from the drop-down menu. This user is anyone who is in your group. Contact Serialio for more information on groups. 11. Set the Action to Upload file. 12. Follow the same steps for uploading the item file (steps 3-8) to browse for your customer file, upload the file, and set the mapping.

11 Ordering Process Example #1 External Bluetooth Scanner This portion of the guide assumes that you have already set up your iscanlist.com account(s), have the correct Setup Profiles applied to your account(s), and have database files uploaded (Item, Customer, Price, etc.). This guide makes use of an external Bluetooth barcode scanner, the Scanfob Follow the below steps to place and upload an order with Mobile Order: 1. When you first open Mobile Order, you will see the Main Screen. 2. Tap the Settings button from your Android device and click the Options button to enter your iscanlist.com account information. 3. Tap iscanlist.com account. 4. Enter your iscanlist username and password in the applicable fields then click OK. The filename/prefix field allows you to set a unique tag for this Android device.

12 5. Tap Mobile Data Options from the Options section found earlier in step 2. Tap Update Mobile Order Data to download your databases to the Android device. After your databases have downloaded, select your ITEM DATABASE, CUSTOMER DATABASE, and CUSTOMER PRICES files. When your files have been selected, click the back button on your Android device. Note: You may not use all three of these files. In this example, I am using the Item and Customer database files. 6. Tap the Back button on your Android device to be taken back to the Main Screen. 7. You are now ready to select a customer for whom this order will be placed. Tap the New Order button. 8. Tap the customer from the list. You can type in the top search bar to narrow down results if you know your customer name. This information is pulled from the CUSTOMER DATABASE file selected in step 5. I have selected TRADE SHOW SAMPLE as my customer. 9. Enter a Purchase Order Number for this order. There are several fields that can be adjusted from this screen, including the Ship Date, any special instructions, promotional codes, etc.

13 10. It is now time to add items to the order. Since we are using an external Bluetooth scanner we need to place Mobile Order in Catalog Mode. Click the Catalog Mode button in the top-right corner of your Main Screen. 11. Catalog Mode does not require you to tap anything on the screen to enter items. Scan a product barcode using your connected scanner and the Add Item screen will appear.

14 12. After you scan the product barcode, you can enter the quantity, price, apply a discount, look at the information for that item, or set the product status (Back Ordered, etc). Click OK when all information has been entered and is correct. 13. When you are finished adding items your Main Screen will look similar to the image below: 14. When the order is complete, tap the Upload Order button. You will be prompted with the Uploading timer. 15. The account that is assigned to your iscanlist.com account should receive a verification that the upload was completed. You can also check the status of your orders from the Order Manager. The Grid with a pencil icon is the current order you are editing, with a green check is an uploaded order, and without an icon was previously opened but never uploaded.

15 Ordering Process Example #2 No Scanner Attached This portion of the guide assumes that you have already set up your iscanlist.com account(s), have the correct Setup Profiles applied to your account(s), and have database files uploaded (Item, Customer, Price, etc.). This guide also does not make use of an external Bluetooth barcode scanner, such as a Scanfob 2005, which can speed the process up considerably. Follow the below steps to place and upload an order with Mobile Order: 1. When you first open Mobile Order, you will see the Main Screen. 2. Tap the Options button and the iscanlist Options button to enter your iscanlist.com account information. 3. Enter your iscanlist username and password in the applicable fields then click OK. The filename/prefix field allows you to set a unique tag for this Android device. 4. Tap Mobile Data Options from the Options section found earlier in step 2. Tap Update Mobile Order Data to download your databases to the Android device. After your databases have downloaded, select your ITEM DATABASE, CUSTOMER DATABASE, and CUSTOMER PRICES files. When your files have been selected, click the Back button on your Android device.

16 Note: You may not use all three of these files. See to the right; I am only using ITEM and CUSTOMER files. 5. Tap the Back button on your Android device to be taken back to the Main Screen. 6. You are now ready to select a customer for whom this order will be placed. Tap the New Order button. 7. Choose the customer from the list or type in the customer name in the search box. This information is pulled from the CUSTOMER DATABASE file selected in step 4. I have selected TRADE SHOW SAMPLE as my customer. 8. Enter a Purchase Order Number for this order. There are several fields that can be adjusted from this screen, including the Ship Date, any special instructions, promotional codes, etc. 9. It is now time to add items to the order. Tap the Add Item button. 10. Select the item(s) you are going to be adding to the order. In this example, I am only choosing one item; CLR CREATIVITY SET WOOD BX.

17 11. After you tap the item, you can enter the quantity, price, apply a discount, look at the information for that item, or set the product status (Back Ordered, etc). Click OK when all information has been entered and is correct. 12. When you are finished adding items your Main Screen will look similar to the image below: 13. When the order is complete, tap the Upload Order button and the Upload this order button. You will be prompted with the Uploading timer. 14.
