3 Getting Started Launch your browser and then go to PearsonSuccessNet.com. Enter the User Name and Password to log in. User Name: Password:
4 3 Your Home Page Access the Interactive Digital Path by clicking on the Interactive Digital path link. Access your Student Edition and Teacher s Edition by clicking the Student Edition and Teacher Edition links. 3 Click the arrow next to Other Resources to access Teacher Resources and Student Resources.
5 4 Navigating the etext Access your online Student Edition and Teacher s Edition through the home page. Pearson etext is your online student edition with builtin audio support as well as links to student worksheets. You and your students may take notes by clicking on the PUSH PIN. You have the ability to share notes with the students and have them appear in the students etexts. 6 5 Navigating the Teacher Resources Access your online Teacher Resources through the home page. Many resources are available in editable format. Click Other Resources, then Teacher Resources. Click on chapter. Choose the resource and lesson. 3 Save and open to edit.
7 6 Navigating the Interactive Digital Path 3 Click on chapter. Choose the lesson. Choose to View the lesson, Assign it to your students, find Information, such as Common Core State Standards, or add it to your Lesson Planner. 4 Click on search. 5 Multiple search options allow you to find and teach a lesson by Keyword, Standards, or Media Type.
8 7 TM Digital Path: Virtual Nerd Videos 3 After choosing the chapter, click the link for the Virtual Nerd TM Video Tutorial. Rewind the video to explore a concept again, or drill down to another video to review prerequisite content. Click on the lesson title to play the matching tutorial video. Use the available viewing windows to watch tutorial videos in three different formats for every lesson.
9 8 Digital Path: Solve It! Solve It! starts off the lesson by presenting a problem that helps connect what students already know to an important new concept in the lesson. Hover your mouse over a lesson and click View. The lesson opens up to the Solve It! problem. 3 Use the arrows at the bottom of the screen to move through the Solve It! problem. 10 9 Digital Path: Dynamic Activity Dynamic Activities are virtual manipulatives with guided instruction. Explorations are followed by Practice exercises that require students to demonstrate understanding of the concepts explored. Dynamic Activities are also accessible via the Search function. (Refer to page 6 of this guide: Search by Media Type: Activity.) To navigate a Dynamic Activity, follow these three steps: A. Click Overview. B. Click Investigation. C. Click Practice. 11 0 Digital Path: Instruction Instruction Problems guide students through the mathematics with stepbystep solutions and helpful tools for support. Click on Instruction to advance to the online problems. Click on the problem to begin. 3 Alternative Problems, when available, provide opportunities to differentiate instruction. 4 Each problem ends with Got It?, a builtin check for understanding. Use the buttons at the bottom to display answer choices, correct answer, and the full steppedout solution. 12 Digital Path: Vocabulary Vocabulary definitions are provided in English and Spanish, including an audio read of each definition. Click on the Vocabulary icon for lesson vocabulary definitions. Click on the arrow to view the definition and see an example. 3 Click on the speaker to hear the term and definition. 4 Select Spanish for vocabulary definition and audio in Spanish. 13 Digital Path: Practice Students can access the homework problems in their textbook digitally. Click on Practice for access to the digital version of the homework problems. Click on the Math Tools icon to activate a suite of digital graphing tools. (Refer to page 4 of this guide for more on Math Tools.) Vocabulary provides math definitions in English and Spanish, in print and read aloud. (Refer to page of this guide for more on Vocabulary.) Print the screen by clicking on the printer icon. 14 3 Digital Path: Assessment Students can assess their understanding using the Self Quiz for each lesson. Click on Assessment to open the Lesson Self Quiz. 15 4 Digital Path: Math Tools Math Tools help students explore and visualize concepts digitally. Click on the MATH TOOLS icon from any active lesson screen for access to all five tools. Graphing Utility Graph points, relations, functions, and inequalities on a coordinate plane. Number Line Tool Add real numbers, graph inequalities on a number line, and plot real numbers and their opposites. Algebra Tiles Tool Add, subtract, multiply, factor, and solve onestep equations using algebra tiles. D Geometric Constructor Tool Graph points, segments, lines, angles, rays, and polygons. Measure the perimeter and area of polygons. 3D Geometric Constructor Tool Graph 3D figures and compute their surface area and volume.

You can auto schedule lesson plans for the entire year. 3 Easily click and drag Lesson Plans into the Lesson Planner Calendar. 4 View multiple classes at the same time.
