1 Job Title: Contracts Manager Team: Roofing Service: Commercial Grade: 30, 000 (Spot salary) Responsible to: Commercial Manager Overall Purpose of Job To manage ongo roofing contracts with existing customers, within ongo roofing trading as Ashbridge Roofing Ltd as a business unit within the ongo partnership. Main Responsibilities To ensure the company achieves its business plan goals, by delivering outstanding quality work through the following key activities:- Planning, implementation and Supervision of all project works in line with the scope of each project Liaising with customers / clients / site agents / architects to achieve agreed outcomes Management of sites and labour only sub-contractors and employees to planned comemrcial objectives Requisition of purchase orders to enable projects to be completed. Estimating & preparation of quotations / variations inline with customer requirements Management reporting back to the commercial manager on all projects under management.. You will be directly supervising staff and sub-contractors from 10 up to 20 individuals at any one time, adherence to health and safety is of paramount importance within this role.. Consistent levels of communication with technical managers, health and safety directors, main contractors and suppliers must be maintained at all times.

2 Ensure that company set reporting procedures are implemented on all site visits - risk of incidents and accidents are eliminated and all findings recorded on visit forms. The applicant will have extensive contract experience specifically within the roofing industry, both in managing people and contracts. Oversee and ensure information for the company management system is uploaded and monitored accurately. Creativity & Innovation The post holder will demonstrate good commercial understanding when contributing to how contracts are delivered. The postholder will be expected to contribute to innovative ideas for new products and services for senior management approval. Analyse and evaluate new products and make recommendations to senior management. Contacts & Relationships Frequent contact with the commercial manager and ongo stakeholders to develop strong working relationships across the ongo partnership. Frequent contact and close relationships with the Suppliers & Contractors to the service. Represent the company at a working level when meeting suppliers and contractors, including representing the business at external contract meetings. The post holder will be required to monitor and resolve issues arising from suppliers. This will often involve negotiating with suppliers to ensure that ongo receives good service & good value in situations where recourse to line management is not available. Decision Making - Discretion Be responsible for planning of the team to achieve tasks to comply with strict deadlines set by senior management & business needs. Be responsible for planning and managing own time to meet the needs of the business.

3 Work within set procedures determined by the commercial manager. Decision Making Consequences To make any commercial decisions in the running of the division in conjunction with and approval of the commercial manager. Managing operational day to day decisions for the business. Able to identify potential areas of risk, evaluate and implement resolutions. Managing risks in the decisions made which are very likely to impact the business & the service it delivers to its customers. Responsibility for Resources Be responsible for the resources of the organisation, its people, assets and brand at all times. Work Demands Often working to tight deadlines to meet sales and build targets. Able to cope with changing priorities. Making and keeping customer appointments Physical Demands The role may require active involvement with work in support of roofing teams and will involve site visits and customer visits. Working Conditions The successful applicant will be based in Scunthorpe and supporting our satellite office in Grimsby. The successful applicant will be mainly site based but maybe required to travel around North Scunthorpe and further afield as part of this role to meet customers and suppliers as required.

Financial / Commercial Acumen to ensure planned margin is achieved. Very customer focussed. Able to work on own initiative, set and meet own workload with minimal supervision. Ability to quickly assimilate technical information and work out selling points and differentiators. Ability to assess customer demand for products and services and feed back to commercial manager the commercial demand for new products.
