This is the perfect opportunity to create a new influence in a child's life with the subject of math being presented in a summer camp environment. This unique exposure and change of venue will not only build more confidence within a child regarding math, but also will change an attitude from one of fear to one of acceptance and maybe even fun only in a challenging way. One of the positive aspects of attending Math Centers Galore is that kids learn not to dread math and realize that math can be approached in a fun manner. 10 Page 10 To Enroll Call: Piano for Beginners PSNC 1907 The are many benefits to children learning to play the piano. When children begin piano lessons at a young age, it helps develop a child's natural creative abilities. By learning the proper skills to play music, kids can then branch out to create their own songs. A second benefit is that children are naturally better at learning new skills and languages than adults, so learning the "language" of music at a young age will allow them to pick it up faster and easier than an adult. Piano lessons also require patience, motivation and drive to succeed because certain songs can take time to master. By practicing over and over and eventually mastering a new song, children will learn these important skills and benefit from the feeling of accomplishment.
11 Seminole State College Page 11 COURSE OUTLINE This class is designed to introduce the beginning student to the fundamentals of piano. The student will learn: The keys on the keyboard Introduce notation on the treble and bass clefs Basic rhythm Note values This is a great way to determine the interest level for further instruction of the student.
