10 Proofing Phase If you no longer need a section after taking the meeting pattern, be sure to Cancel 10

11 Proofing Phase If you have requested an alternate meeting pattern or room to be placed on hold, note this when using the room 11

12 Proofing Phase Even if you only need to change or add an instructor (IOR), be sure to note your intentions 12

13 Proofing Phase While running through changes, I highlight areas where I have left an unmatched section so that I don t forget to finalize it 13

14 Proofing Phase Even when adding new sections that were not there before, all meeting patterns must be accounted for 14

15 PolyPlanner Erica Fryer Positive feedback from colleges (they are using demand data). Flowcharts have been a valuable tool in building roadmaps for PolyPlanner (thanks advisors!). Continuing to refine our communication efforts with students. Software update featuring new enhancements coming soon. 15

16 Upgrade Feature #1 Students will have ability to manually add a class more easily: No right-clicking required. Add Course button is now visible. 16

17 Upgrade Feature #2 Students can articulate when and why they will be missing a term: Add Message button is intuitive. Students simply select appropriate choice. 17

18 Upgrade Feature #3 Student will use a different method to delete a course: Click on edit button. Select course and click Delete. 18

19 Upgrade Feature #4 More course detail information is now provided: Students now click on the course in PolyPlan Pop-up window then provides this information: Course description Units Term Typically Offered Requisites Projected Course Availability (New!) 19

20 Upgrade Feature #5 Course Availability is also demonstrated in the plan: Students still drag and drop their course or manually enter it. An error will appear if the course is not offered that term. 20

21 A Reminder Although software is tablet friendly, we still recommend that students use a computer. Updating PolyPlanner on a tablet may be more challenging. Phones are discouraged. Internet Explorer (IE 11) is not recommended. 21

22 Projected Upgrade Rollout/Timeline December: Testing is underway and will continue throughout the month January: We will continue updating documentation with new FAQs, videos, etc. Late January or Early February: Upgrade completed and new program will be introduced to students. 22

23 Communication Emphasis Previous communication: Focused on consequences for non-compliant students (last registration appointment). Upcoming communication: Highlight the purpose of PolyPlanner and our intentions behind mandating student compliance. Help us help you! 23

26 General Business Items Auto Fill Meeting Pattern Start/End Time Select tab: Pre-populates class end times based on predefined table Cannot limit by component, only career When scheduling 4 unit lecture on TR, may default to 3 unit meeting pattern hours Scheduler must catch and adjust accordingly UCS will: Modify TR meeting pattern from 3-unit to 4-unit (default to two hour block instead of hour and a half) Remove single day meeting patterns Discussion Like, Dislike, Thoughts, Comments, Feedback 26
