3 Prerequisites Minimum 90 college hours (verify the following): Required: 1 semester General Zoology/Biology (including lab) 2 semesters General Chemistry 2 semesters Organic Chemistry 2 semesters Physics 2 semesters English 1 semester Genetics, Cell Biology, or Molecular Biology 3 semesters Psychology, Sociology, Philosophy, or Humanities Recommended: Biochemistry and a writing-intensive English Course

4 Requirements U.S. citizen or hold a permanent visa GPA average of 3.0 or better Letter grade of C or better required in prerequisite courses We will accept Pass/Fail grading, advanced placement, & CLEP courses if a higher course is taken for a grade Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) score of 21 or better

9 The Interview We hold 10 interview days and interview 30 applicants each day. Interviews are held in October, November, and January. The interview is one hour long and is semiblind. The interview is a 3 on 1 interview style. A typical team consists of one faculty physician, one community physician, and one 4 th year medical student.

15 What s New or Continuing School of Community Medicine- Beginning in 2015, the School of Community Medicine will become a four year track. Deposit Refund- Applicants have until April 30 th to withdraw acceptance and receive a refund. Applicants previously had until May 15th. MCAT Begins in April

16 MCAT 2015 The MCAT 2015 exam has four test sections: 1) Biological and Biochemical Foundations of Living Systems 2) Chemical and Physical Foundations of Biological Systems 3) Psychological, Social, and Biological Foundations of Behavior 4) Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills Total scores for the new exam will range from 472 to 528. Section scores will range from 118 to 132.

17 MCAT Application Cycle The Admissions Board will accept scores from both the MCAT 2015 and the old MCAT. However, the Admissions Board would prefer for students to take the 2015 MCAT during this cycle Application Cycle The Admissions Board will only accept scores from the 2015 MCAT during this cycle.
