1 NZForex sign up for RealMe online identification New customers no longer need to physically present identification documents 24 July, It's even easier to sign up and transfer money internationally after a new agreement between international payments specialist NZForex and RealMe, to use its online identification service. NZForex, a wholly owned subsidiary of the ASX listed OzForex Group Ltd (ASX: OFX), helps thousands of New Zealanders transfer money every year. Now through RealMe, a New Zealand government and New Zealand Post initiative, new customers can avoid having to go through physical idenfication processes when signing up to send money overseas. OzForex Group Ltd CEO Neil Helm says the new secure service is important to the business because it provides New Zealand customers with greater convenience by simplifying the sign up process. We believe our customers will welcome the additional convenience. For customer with a RealMe identity they no longer have to fax or scan identity verification documents to sign up for the service. By streamlining the on boarding process further it improves our efficiency, reduces administrative costs and minimises risk from the transaction process. Having won the Australian Growth Company of the Year Award in October 2013, the OzForex Group continues to grow rapidly. During the 2014 financial year it increased turnover by 49% to almost NZ$15 billion in transactions from a total of 581,000 international money transfers. Big banks and financial service companies have been the early adopters of RealMe. We re also now receiving enquiries from a wide range of other sectors keen to benefit from the risk reduction and business process improvements RealMe provides, while giving a greater digital customer experience to their customers. Mandy Smith says NZForex is also the first to sign-up for the new Datacom hosted integration to the RealMe service. This solution meant that NZForex could get to market quickly with minimal effort and investment on their side. 3 RealMe Fact Sheet What s RealMe? The new and secure way for people to access services and prove their identity online within New Zealand. It is a digital innovation developed by the government and New Zealand Post. Use it to prove who you are online, as you would do with your passport or drivers licence in person. Why do I need it? It will give you, as a customer, the choice to do important transactions completely online where you would usually have to front up in person with your ID to complete the transaction. This gives you back your time and makes it easier for you to do things when ever and where ever you choose. With new rules having recently come into effect under Anti Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism (AML-CFT) legislation it s likely you will have to prove your identity more often and with more certainty. These rules place an obligation on New Zealand s financial services organisations to confirm their customers are who they say they are. RealMe makes it easier for organisations and their customers to do so online. RealMe could provide real cost savings, improved customer experience and uptake from streamlined processes for organisations that chose to use RealMe for their customers. RealMe is simple and straight forward to setup RealMe does two key jobs: o It gives you a single login to multiple government websites. o Secondly, a verified RealMe account works as your online ID. With a verified account you can officially prove who you are during important online transactions, so you won t need to front up in person. To get your RealMe account verified: o You first need to follow a simple online process, which takes less than 10 minutes. You'll need your mobile phone, and your New Zealand passport (or other documents). o Secondly you need to visit your nearest participating PostShop to have your photo taken. Just like a NZ passport, you ll only need to re-verify your RealMe account once every five years. The verification process matches your photograph with your official information to turn your RealMe account into your online ID. This then enables you to prove who you are at the click of a button and shortcuts application and approval processes. Anyone living in New Zealand can get a verified RealMe account. (This normally requires having a New Zealand registered mobile phone.)

4 How RealMe works to confirm your identity online How RealMe works is shown diagrammatically as follows: 1. If you want to apply for something online, like a bank loan, the bank will need to know who you are. 2. You login to the RealMe service and tell it you want to share your details with the bank. 3. Your identity data is securely stored by the existing, official organisation. RealMe sends an instant request to this organisation asking it to share your identity data with the bank. RealMe never stores the information you share. It simply acts as a gatekeeper 4. The bank now immediately knows who you are, and can get on with processing your application How your privacy and security is protected? Privacy protection was at the heart of the Real Me design and a number of independent privacy impact assessments were completed as part of its development [refer ] The Office of the Privacy Commissioner was involved in initial consultation on the RealMe service. o The key was to ensure individuals retain full control over personal information, who they send it to and when; and to ensure the solution is highly secure. o The Office of the Privacy Commissioner continues to be consulted as the RealMe service is further developed and enhanced. This will be the case in the future. You retain full control over your personal information as: o The RealMe service enables you to give consent to organisations that hold your official information to share it with another organisation. But only when you say it's okay to do so. Your account records provide a clear history of where and when you have used your ID. o The information you share is not stored by RealMe. RealMe only holds the information needed to manage your account. Your official information continues to be held by the government departments or organisations that already hold it.

5 In addition to the security of your user name and password, every time you use RealMe as your secure online ID, a code is sent to your mobile phone which you ll need to log in with. This two step process makes RealMe even more secure by providing second factor authentication About New Zealand Post and DIA: RealMe leverages the strengths of the two organisations behind it - the Department of Internal Affairs and New Zealand Post. New Zealand Post has more than 170 years experience in managing and co-ordinating huge amounts of information - and their primary role in RealMe will be through the PostShop network serving as the place in the community where people can have a biometric photograph taken which ties their actual identity to their RealMe username and password and provide documentation if required. The Department of Internal Affairs will take that information, check it and verify that the person is who they say they are a complex task, but one which is similar in many ways to the role the Department of Internal Affairs has played for so many years when processing passport applications. RealMe will not allow New Zealand Post or the Department of Internal Affairs to see or access the information on individuals held by organisations which use RealMe as their verification system. It simply serves as an authentication and identity verification tool, and will not track any data or activities carried out by members once its function (of providing verified information) is completed. No personal identity information will be held by New Zealand Post, and all information collected for the identity verification process will be handed to the Department of Internal Affairs.
