4 About the Policy This Presenter, Assessor and Supervisor Policy outlines the requirements to gain and maintain Presenter and/or Assessor Accreditations and the Supervisor Certificate. Introduction Gymnastic Australia s coach and judge education and training is critical to improving the standard of the sport. Gymnastic Australia s Coach and Judge Framework provides a structured pathway for coach and judge education, and is endorsed by the Australian Sports Commission (ASC) through the National Coaching Accreditation Scheme (NCAS) and the National Officiating Accreditation Scheme (NOAS). Critical to the success of coach and judge education are presenters, assessors and supervisors who are responsible for delivering education and training. The Coach and Judge Framework is underpinned by their ability to effectively deliver content and engage coaches to share knowledge and learn from each other. Quality education and training, which is enjoyable, non-threatening and accessible to all, is vital to ensure GA develops and maintains effective gymnastic coaches, judges and administrators. Courses are delivered in conjunction with Registered Training Provider (RTP) partners. Gymnastics Australia aims to improve the standard of Gymnastics and grow the sport of gymnastics by: adopting a competency-based approach to education and training determining the course syllabus and developing appropriate and engaging course materials ensuring that course delivery is of a high standard by enthusiastic, knowledgeable and current Course Presenters, Assessors and Supervisors undertaking and reviewing course evaluations to ensure that all stakeholders within the delivery of the education services maintain quality standards. Course Presenters and Assessors underpin the delivery of GA courses. They require specific training to ensure that Coaches and Judges are given the best opportunity to gain the required competencies for their level of accreditation and to ensure fun and safe participation in gymnastics for all. Note: Throughout this document Minimum refers to the least possible in order to fulfil a requirement. In many cases, this may be exceeded to ensure competency/competencies are met.
