This candlelight dinner will be held at Shady Hollow Country Club on Wednesday, December 17th at 5:30pm. The dinner will be a selection from an upscale-buffet. 2 P A G E 2 Canton Charge Game The CRSPE Canton Charge game will be on Friday, January 30 th at 7:00 pm. They will be playing the Maine Red Claws. Tickets are $15 each. Please make checks payable to CRSPE. Please contact Scott Dilling (scott@dilling.eng.pro) to reserve your tickets. We purchased 50 tickets again this year in the Upper Center, Section 4 group seating area. The tickets will be sold on a first come basis (same as in previous years). Watch for more information in Imagine Engineering Coloring Contest There are ten schools signed up for the Imagine Engineering Coloring Contest so far. Seven schools from Stark County, one from Wayne County, one from Richland County, and one from Crawford County. 3 EFO's "The Engineer as Leader" Seminar P A G E 3 Registrations are now being accepted for The Engineer as Leader seminar. Worth 10.5 CPD hours, it will be held at the Airport Marriott in Columbus on February 6 and 7th, James G. Dalton is back with his excellent leadership and management presentation. Prior to establishing his consulting practice, Dalton spent 18 years at the National Society of Professional Engineers where he served in a number of roles. Call or go to to register! Registration deadline is Friday, January 9, EFO Scholarship Program Please note that the deadline for applications has been changed to January 15! EFO is currently accepting applications. To obtain the current Engineers Foundation of Ohio Scholarship program information visit The application may be copied as needed for distribution to students. These scholarships are offered to outstanding high school and college students from public, private and parochial high schools throughout Ohio who desire careers in engineering. The scholarships are sponsored by the Engineers Foundation of Ohio (EFO) in conjunction with the Ohio Society of Professional Engineers (OSPE). To be eligible for these scholarships, a student must meet all of the following criteria: > be a graduating high school senior (exceptions noted in individual scholarship descriptions); > have at least a 3.0 (A=4.0) grade point average; > meet the minimum SAT (Math=600, Reading or Composition=500) or ACT (Math=29, English=25) test scores as set by the National Society of Professional Engineers; & > be a citizen of the United States and a permanent resident of the State of Ohio. Additional criteria is specified for some scholarships. Please read each description in the brochure carefully.
