1 Roselands Infant School Woodgate Road Eastbourne East Sussex BN22 8PD Tel: Fax: E: W: Federation Headteacher: Ms Mandy Stewart Deputy Head: Mrs Carol Wallis NEWSLETTER 29 th January 2016 Dear Parents and Carers, The Governing Body of the Roselands and Stafford Federation, in consultation with children, parents and staff, have created a vision to help bring together the two schools into one community. Together in the Roselands and Stafford Federation, we believe in promoting a lifelong love of learning for everyone. We believe that creating inspirational experiences will foster independence and build self-belief allowing learners to constantly grow. This will provide our children with the foundations to make a valuable contribution to their community and prepare them for their future in the wider world. Our vision is a commitment to create an inclusive, safe and stimulating environment where we work and learn together. We help one another to overcome challenges with confidence and resilience having respect for ourselves and each other. We celebrate hard work and effort and our successes are shared because we know that together we can achieve more. We aspire to Be the best that we can be. Mandy Stewart Headteacher Facebook It has been brought to our attention that some parents are using Facebook to discuss concerns about school or other children in the class. You should on no account be sharing children s names on Facebook without parents permission. If you do have a concern about our school or your child then please make an appointment to see the class teacher in the first instance or a member of the Senior Leadership Team. Some of the concerns mentioned on Facebook have not been shared with the school and we are always available to support parents with any concerns they may have. Badges were rewarded on Wednesday to all the children who took part. Please send in any further sponsor forms and money by Friday 5th February as our NSPCC representative will be returning to take our final assembly and to celebrate our fundraising. Thank you so much to everyone for your support with this very worthy cause. Parent Consultations We are introducing an on line booking system for parent consultations alongside Stafford Junior School. We will be sending a letter next week with instructions on how to access this. We hope this will make booking your parent/teacher appointments easier and more convenient across both schools. School Gates Please remember to use the Ringwood Road gates up until 9.00 a.m. and when collecting your child after school. For all other times, please come to the main gate at Woodgate Road, but please check it is properly closed as the safety and security of your children is paramount!
