1 BSB30407 Certificate III in Business Administration Program Overview This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply a broad range of administrative competencies in a varied work context, using some discretion and judgement. They may provide technical advise and support to a team This qualification is nationally recognized. This course in a maximum course of 18 months in Victoria. Pathways into the qualification BSB20107 Certificate IV in Business Administration or other relevant qualifications Or With vocational experience assisting in a range of support roles without a formal business qualification Job Roles Accounts Recievable Clerk Accounts payable Clerk Clerk Data Entry Operator Junior Personal Assistant Receptionist Office Administrator Assistant Office Administrator Word Processing Operator Assessment Assessment is the process of judging competency of a person against pre-determined standards of performance. Assessment may include recognition of prior learning and completion of assignments and exercises as part of a training course, or in the workplace. Your assessment will be conducted by trainers from KnowledgeSpace.

2 Packaging Rules Total number of units: 13 Number of core units: 2 Number of elective units: 11 7 elective units must be selected from the Group A units listed below. BSBOHS201A Participate in OHS processes This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to participate in workplace occupational health and safety (OHS) processes to protect workers own health and safety, and that of others.

3 BSB30407 Group A Elective Units BSBFIA302A Process payroll This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to process payroll from provided data using manual and computerised payroll systems. BSBADM307B Organise schedules This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to manage appointments and diaries for personnel within an organisation, using manual and electronic diaries, schedules and other appointment systems. BSBITU303A Design and produce text documents This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to design and develop predominantly text based documents using advanced features of word processing software. BSBITU304A Produce spreadsheets This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to develop spreadsheets through the use of spreadsheet software. BSBITU306A Design and produce business documents This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to design and produce various business documents and publications. It includes selecting and using a range of functions on a variety of computer applications. BSBITU309A Produce desktop published documents This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to design and produce desktop published documents. BSBWRT301A Write simple documents This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to plan, draft and review a basic document before writing the final version.

BSBDIV301A Work effectively with diversity This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to recognise and interact productively with diversity in the workplace. It covers sensitive responses to, and interactions with, all manner of diversity that might be encountered during the course of work. BSBCMM301A Process customer complaints This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to handle formal and informal negative feedback and complaints from customers. BSBOHS407A Monitor a safe workplace This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to implement and monitor the organisation's occupational health and safety (OHS) policies, procedures and programs in the relevant work area to meet legislative requirements. BSBPRO301A Recommend products and services This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to provide advice and information within an organisation about the development and distribution of its products and services. BSBWOR301A Organise personal work priorities and development This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to organise own work schedules, to monitor and obtain feedback on work performance, and to maintain required levels of competence.
