1 Candiate Application Checklist To appear on the ballot you must have completed this application form by 5:00PM on March 1, No late or incomplete applications will be accepted. Election results will be announced at 12:00pm on Friday, April 4, You will be completing the following forms throughout the application: Intent to Run Form Accountability Statement ASASU Candidate Profile Additionally, Executive candidates for both USG and GPSA must fill out an Executive Office Questionnaire. Every Candidate will also have to provide a 75x100 pixel photograph. Additionally, you will be required to send your unofficial transcripts in. Both must be ed to asuelections2014@gmail.com Please have all items needed readily available, as your application will be incomplete without them. Below are the requirement to run for office. By submitting this application you are agreeing that you have read and understand all of the requirements listed below. GPSA Requirements: Pursuant to the ASASU constitution, to be eligible as a GPSA candidate one must meet the following requirements: Executive Officers or members of the Assembly may serve only if registered for at least one (1) credit hour of graduate or professional academic credit at Arizona State University in the current regular semester. The applicant must be in good academic standing as defined by the University for the student's program of study. The candidate is responsible for ensuring his or her own academic status with the registrar. Page 1 of 11

2 USG Requirements Students seeking elected positions in USG must meet the following qualifications at the time of declaring candidacy and maintain the qualifications throughout term of office: Must be a member of USG (See USG Elections Code). Must be a degree seeking student at ASU. Must be a student in good academic standing with ASU. Must be a student in good disciplinary standing with ASU. Must be a student enrolled in and maintain 6 or 7 credit hours per semester on the campus where the position exists. The 6 or 7 credits must be completed within the time span of a full semester. May only hold one office within USG concurrently (including appointed/hired positions). Senatorial candidates may only seek and hold office at the campus where their respective college/school exists. Senatorial seats for colleges/schools that exist on multiple campuses will be annually reviewed by the Elections Department.
