3 THE COUNTY TARRANT COUNTY TARRANT COUNTY IS ONE OF THE FASTEST-GROWING URBAN COUNTIES IN THE UNITED STATES. The County Tarrant County is located in the western end of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex in north central Texas. Fort Worth serves as the county seat to a population of approximately 1.8 million citizens. Much of the flavor and attitudes that are the history of Tarrant County live on today. The frontier has changed; the pioneering spirit remains.. Tarrant County is now home to a diverse spectrum of businesses and lifestyles. Cattle and agriculture, as well as aerospace companies, defense contractors and educational institutions, play a major role in the economic and cultural foundation of the county. Tarrant County s western heritage sits side by side with its internationally renowned Cultural District. With such a diverse mix of styles, there is never a lack of things to do and see. Once dependent on defense plants and its military base, Tarrant County s economy has been transformed into one of the most vibrant and diverse in the nation and is leading the regional resurgence in business relocations and expansions, retail development and new housing construction. Once tied to the oil rigs and cattle ranches of west Texas, Tarrant County s businesses today reach around the globe, and the county s commercial and industrial airports are among the country s foremost international gateways. Board of Trustees A publicly elected governing board of seven Trustees, serving staggered six-year terms, works collaboratively with the chancellor to ensure excellence and accountability. TCC s highly engaged Board of Trustees will actively manage both the search for and selection of the College s new chancellor.

4 CAMPUSES SUCCESS WITHIN REACH All campuses are comprehensive in scope and offer the Associate of Arts, Associate of Applied Science, Associate of Science Degrees and credit and non-credit technical certificates. The South and Northeast Campuses offer the Associate of Arts in Teaching. TCC has no capital debt. SOUTH CAMPUS South Campus was opened in 1967 to a record-breaking enrollment, which is now 12,549. Today, South Campus has a highly diverse student body and continues to provide comprehensive educational programs and services for the citizens of south central Tarrant County (and throughout the county in specific technical program offerings). NORTHEAST CAMPUS Opened in 1968, and located in two cities - North Richland Hills and Hurst, it is the second-largest of the six campuses with an enrollment of 11,501 students in Spring The campus offers Child Development with a child-care center laboratory, Dental Hygiene, Information Technology, Teacher Education, Visual and Performing Arts and World Languages. NORTHWEST CAMPUS Opened 1975 as our Bicentennial Campus, it was the only community college campus in the United States to open that year. The campus currently serves 8,018 students with a focus on Aviation; Fire Technology with a state-of-the-art Fire Training Facility; Criminal Justice, including a Police Academy and an in-door shooting range; Dance and Horticulture. The campus trains the majority of public service employees in the County.

5 CAMPUSES SUCCESS WITHIN REACH SOUTHEAST CAMPUS Southeast Campus opened in 1996 in Arlington, Texas. Currently enrolls 10,746 students and is one of the fastest-growing campuses in Tarrant County College District. The Southeast Campus is located in Arlington, Texas. The Southeast Campus offers degree programs in technical areas with the only comprehensive Culinary Arts program of study in Tarrant County. TRINITY RIVER CAMPUS Opened in 2010 in downtown Fort Worth, this campus has 7,198 students at two locations. The main campus focuses on Service Learning, Sign Language Interpreting, Library Technology and Health Information Technology. The second location is dedicated to Allied Health Programs. TCC CONNECT CAMPUS TCC Connect Campus opened in The campus currently serves 26,700 students with offerings in elearning, Dual Credit and an accelerated Weekend College. The campus is designed with the non-traditional student in mind, and the flexible learning opportunities enable many people who would not otherwise be able to attend college to access the various opportunities offered by TCC.
