3 Welcome Welcome to the SFI International Wealth Management Retreat 2016 We are very pleased to invite you to the retreat on our SFI Campus above Zurich, from April 7 to 8, While you can certainly expect stimulating input from our speakers, it is you, the participants, who will lay the foundations for lively and challenging debates. We hope this retreat, which focuses on the key topic of Asset Management and its relationship with Wealth Management, surpasses your expectations and provides you with enriching and stimulating input. To help you with the detailed schedule, we have compiled this guide, which gives you as well some general information about the venue. We are looking forward to an enjoyable and productive time on our SFI Campus above Zurich. Different from other years, this specific SFI Retreat immediately follows another SFI event addressed to a larger audience the 5th Swiss Asset Management Day run by SFI and the Office of Economy of Kanton Schwyz. Attending both programs allows accessing different key themes and networking at different levels and in two very diverse set-ups. 4 The SFI International Wealth Management Retreat 2016 Objective The SFI International Wealth Management Retreat 2016 focuses on the challenge of how Wealth and Asset Management relate to each other. Is there convergence or not? And what are drivers for performance and innovation in this context? The retreat functions as a platform for senior executives who want to better understand how to shape their business and who want to test their views against research findings and the experience of their peers. The retreat targets senior executives, enabling them to: understand the strategic, organizational, and individual aspects of anticipating new opportunities in wealth and asset management; discuss specific ideas and emerging best practices with top researchers, industry leaders, and distinguished peers from around the world; strengthen their network within an open and friendly challenging environment Concept The retreat provides a framework within which participants are able to openly address key issues faced in wealth management. Methods and tools specific to managing assets and wealth, and based on world class research and empirical evidence, are presented within this frame- work. CEOs and the most senior executives and board members put these concepts into the contexts of the market and institutional culture. Challenging discussions then add to the individual experience of each participant so that true insights can be developed. The different formats of sessions are all finely tuned to achieve a maximum of mutual learning. Participant Profile: Who Will You Meet? The retreat is specifically designed for senior executives from private banking, wealth management and asset management institutions, typically on a managing director level or above. Admittance is selective, and Swiss Finance Institute takes great care to ensure an international mix of peers. Typically, two-thirds of participants are CEOs of a business area or sit on executive committees. Around half of the participants come from outside Switzerland. 4

Dr. Gabriela Maria Payer, Swiss Finance Institute Keynote Speech: Inclusive Leadership Dr. Peter A. Wuffli, Chairman Partners Group, Zug Our Keynote Speaker knows the world of financial services and more specifi cally the wealth, asset and investment management industries from very different perspectives as he has held leadership positions at Board and Executive levels in both a large global corporation as well as a more specialized, entrepre neurial firm. Today, Peter is the Chairman of the Board of Partners Group, a global leader in private markets investment management. He has also set up and chairs the philanthropic foundation elea for Ethics in Globalization. Furthermore he chairs the Foundation and Supervisory Boards of the famous, top ranked Business School IMD (based in Lausanne/Switzerland) and he is the Vice Chairman of the Zurich Opera House. Before becoming focused on leader ship roles at Board level in 2007, Peter had an outstanding career in the banking industry at UBS, where he was the Group CFO, the Chairman and CEO of UBS Global Asset Management, and UBS Group s CEO. Peter is the author of two impressive books, one on Liberale Ethik (2010, available in German only), and one titled Inclusive Leadership A Framework for the Global Era (forthcoming in 2015 by Springer). 9 Faculty Prof. Christopher Culp is an SFI Adjunct Professor, a Research Fellow at the Johns Hopkins Institute for Applied Economics, Senior Affiliate with Compass Lexecon, and the author/editor of six books. He has a Ph.D. in finance from the University of Chicago. Prof. Amit Goyal has a PhD from UCLA, is the SFI Professor of finance at UNIL. His research is in empirical asset pricing and pension funds. His papers have been published in several journals and he is on the editorial board of many journals. Dr. Nannette Hechler-Fayd herbe is Head of Investment Strategy for the International Wealth Management division of Credit Suisse. She also serves on the Board of Trustees of the Credit Suisse pension fund Switzerland and on the board of the International Capital Market Association. Christoph Schenk Mr. Schenk is CIO of Zurcher Kantonalbank. He has been working for over 20 years in the fields of Asset Management and Pension Funds. He holds a Master in Business Administration. and Economics of the University of Berne. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) of the CFA Institute, Charlottesville USA. Dr. Andreas Schlatter holds a PhD from ETH and was from CEO Switzerland and Global Head of Distribution of UBS Asset Management. Since 2016 Andreas holds seats on various boards. He is Chairman of UBS Fund Management S.A. Georg Schubiger started his career at McKinsey in From he acted as head of Business Development and later CEO Eastern European Banking for the Finnish Sampo Group. From 2008 to 2012, before joining Vontobel in 2012, he was an Executive Board Member of Danske Bank Group in Denmark, initially heading the Group Business Development Unit and later becoming the Group s COO. Dr. Stephan Skaanes studied economics (banking and finance) at the Zurich University, is a CFA charter holder and has a doctoral degree. He is a partner and member of the Executive Board of PPCmetrics and head of the department investment consulting & controlling. Michael Stemmle co-founded additive AG back in 1998 and leads the fintech company since then as CEO. He has extensive experience in banking, corporate finance, business development, technology and sales & marketing. Dr. Andria van der Merwe is a Vice President at Compass Lexecon. She specializes in the analysis of liquidity and market structure, and is the author of Market Liquidity Risk (Palgrave Macmillan, 2015). She has a Ph.D. in electric engineering and an MBA. Dr. Gabriela Maria Payer has three decades of experience in multiple business functions at executive level, mainly in the financial services sector at UBS. She leads the SFI Education business since 2012 and performs several independent consulting and board mandates.

10 Schedule and Fees Schedule The retreat runs from 5:00 p.m., Thursday, April 7, to 5.30 p.m., Friday, April 8, Venue The exclusive Hotel Bocken is part of the prestigious Credit Suisse training center of the same name and boasts a unique and secluded location in the countryside high above Lake Zurich. A true jewel among Swiss conference destinations, it remains an insider tip for seminars and events.
