1 Acttiv presentation Acttiv is the leading tourism entertainment company in Spain and the creator of this online tourism animation course. Its animation teams, from 2 up to 20 entertainers, work in 3, 4 and 5 stars hotel chains, hotels, club hotels and campsites. In high season, over 800 young people wear the orange Acttiv t-shirt all over the Mainland and the Spanish Islands (Canary and Balearic). Brands such as Barceló Hoteles, Be Live Hotels, Hoteles Oasis, H10 Hoteles or IFA Lopesan Hotels trust its animation teams to Acttiv. The practical reality of the animation and the importance of relying on creative animation teams, motivated and resourceful, led Acttiv to launch this Online Tourism Entertainment Course. The training aims to prepare future entertainers and to qualify them to achieve excellence in this profession. Given the clear career guidance, all theoretical content has a strong practical component. In the following pages we will develop the goals, methodology, program and jobs opportunities of the Online Course. Course Objectives This course has a clear career guidance. Taught by teachers who have worked or are working now in entertainment, the training seeks to convey a solid base of the tourist animation techniques in order to prepare the student for working in a hotel or a campsite. Two main objectives: Allowing the students to know the techniques, to develop and to control all the entertainment activities in order to entertain the guests and to create a good atmosphere in the hotels. Ensure that, at the end of the course, the students get a very good grasp of Public Relations and Quality Guest Service. For whom is the training intended? The course is addressed to all the young people with high level of English, dynamics and creative, who like Public Relations and want to get a professional training in order to work in the tourist animation area. 1

2 Certificate The participants will receive at the end of the course the Online Tourist Entertainment Certificate. In order to receive the diploma the student must approve at least 75% of the tests. Methodology In order to create an entertaining course that encourages interaction, all the participants begin training simultaneously. The students, within the established period, start to read the contents and to resolve the exercises at the same time. This allows the creation of dynamic forums and virtual discussions, to clear doubts and share concerns, and everyone will benefit from this feedback. In addition, on Facebook/Acttiv, there s a forum Big Bro Answers! available for all students who want to interact directly with the chiefs entertainers! The estimated duration of the course is 80 hours divided in 21 calendar days. The schedule is flexible; during the day the students can sign in whenever they wish. The future entertainers will have a minimum program to pass the course (75%), as well as additional documentation; they will choose themselves their academic progress. Most of the theoretical contents will be displayed with presentation and videos. To pass on the daily entertainment, all multimedia contents have been recorded in Acttiv hotels and their characters, are not models, but professional entertainers. Students will learn make-up and even dances and Mini Club. For some activities, in addition to the teacher's assessment, the colleagues will also be evaluating each other. Evaluation: through quizzes, creation of videos and group exercises, the teachers will assess the knowledge acquired and the students will put into practice their knowledge from their own home. To make the videos, the participants can use mobile phones, cameras, tablets, and webcams with microphone etc. Language: the online course is international with participants from across European Union, that's why is taught in English. The teachers have an extensive experience in tourism animation and work with groups of 15 to 25 people. 2

3 Course Registration 1. Send your CV at and sign up for the Online Course. The registration deadline is 4 days prior to the start of the course, depending on the number of places available. 2. We contact you to confirm your interest and agree on a date for the interview (by Skype or in person) 3. After successfully passing the interview, we will send you an with the steps to follow and the application form. The course fee is 180 and it can be paid b y bank transfer to Acttiv Leisure Projects SL account. The account number is in the registration form. The lump sum is the standard mode for the enrolment of all students, but in special cases we can always try to arrange a personalized plan. 4. To make the booking of the place, send the completed application form, along with the proof of payment to rrhh@acttiv.net 5. Once we have received your booking we will send you an to confirm receipt of your form. Note: Non-EU students can join the course and train as tourist entertainers, but they cannot be offered a job. Acttiv hiring commitment Acttiv promises to offer a job opportunity in the following 12 months from the course s end to all the online course participants who: Are available for at least 4 months (continuously) from the date when they start to work Have successfully passed the online course (that is, they done the exercises well and on time)* We take into consideration the motivation and interest shown during the course Have a European Union nationality or work permit in Spain As a guarantee of Acttiv s commitment, the company will refund the total amount of the course s price if a participant does not receive a job offer in the following 12 months after the course ends. 4 Technical Requirements Acttiv adapted Moodle's virtual learning environment to create The Online Tourist Entertainment Course. For an optimal academic progress, students should follow these technical requirements: Create (if it does not already have it) a profile on YouTube, since the students will be requested to record videos. Having installed the following programs: PowerPoint and Word (for activities) and Acrobat Reader.
