A two-day conference with the ambition of initiating sustainable commercial innovation targeting the market opportunities in the emerging markets in Africa and the humanitarian assistance through: Parallel sessions presenting new viable business cases within water, health, sustainable energy, ICT, aqua culture, housing and agribusiness Plenary sessions on Danish and international funding opportunities High-level discussions on commercial relief driven innovation Exhibitions of developed solutions meeting the demands from relief aid and emerging markets in developing countries Best practice and lessons learned from established partnerships between private sector, civil society organisations, academia and government institutions Networking and bilateral meetings between civil society organisations, private sector and research institutions access2innovation is hosting this conference in close collaboration with Aalborg University and the Red Cross partnership guide, and will present a number of new concept notes on identified business opportunities on access2innovation s website: The conference will take place at the AAU Create building, Aalborg University, Rendsburggade 14, 9000 Aalborg. DINNER For participants attending the full 2 day program access2innovation will be organising an informal dinner on the 23rd August from for all interested participants (cost to be covered individually at the price of 300 Dkr.). Well, maybe not quite, but the city is easy to reach by car (via the E45), by train (two trains every hour from Copenhagen during peak hours) or by plane (12 daily flights to and from Copenhagen + several con- necting flights to Amsterdam Shiphol). The AAU CREATE Building is located at the waterfront at the center of the town between the Utzon Center and the House of Music. PARKING If you travel by car, you will find a range of different car parks in the city centre. All of them require that you buy a ticket. The nearest one is the underground car park directly below the AAU Create building with entrance from Nyhavnsgade. ACCOMODATION Aalborg has hotels and hostels to cater for most budgets.
