2 Portway Extensions Concept Development Study Final Report In advance of an economic impact analysis to be conducted as part of the next stage of the Portway Extensions program, preliminary construction cost estimates were prepared for the roadway infrastructure improvement concepts presented in Section X of this report. The cost estimates follow the NJDOT preliminary estimation procedures. Following is a summary table of the infrastructure improvement costs (exclusive of any required right-of-way acquisition or extensive environmental remediation that may be required). Also presented are the computation sheets detailing the construction items, estimated quantities and unit costs for each recommended alternative concept.

For structures over 4 foot long (viaducts), reduce the cost per square foot if repetitive span length and forming can be used.
