4 SkyTrax Tracker SkyTrax allows you to preemptively track your vehicle online via your computer, tablet or smartphone. The precise whereabouts of your vehicle and its precious human cargo will always be just a couple of clicks away. Our National Emergency Centre is available 24/7 to assist you on Insight about your vehicle usage is taken from the location data and current position to deliver services that help you to manage the costs and risks associated with owning and using your vehicle.

5 GSM and GPS Technology With GPS technology, we can locate your vehicle to an accuracy of just five metres. The device communicates your vehicle s position to our Monitoring Centre via advanced GSM technology. Vehicle Monitoring Tracker SkyTrax is always active. It communicates with our Monitoring Centre continuously, increasing frequency in an emergency. Upon request, roaming is available for travel outside of South Africa. Theft Retrieval In the event of theft or hijacking, our Monitoring Centre is able to deploy our theft retrieval crews to your vehicle s precise location once receiving confirmation from you that it has been stolen. With the support of the SAPS, the culprits may be apprehended and your vehicle taken into Police safe keeping. Notifications You will be notified if your vehicle is towed or if the power supply to the device is interrupted. SMS Car Guard With SMS Car Guard, you can lock the position of your vehicle via SMS when parking in an unsafe area or if your vehicle will be unattended for a long time. If your vehicle moves before you send an unlock request, you will be notified by SMS. If you are not in possession of your vehicle, you can then contact us and we will dispatch our recovery teams to retrieve it. SMS services not currently available to Telkom Mobile subscribers. SMS charged at R2.00. Not available outside of South Africa SMS Position Request SMS Position Request allows you to request the latest position and status of your vehicle via your cellphone at any time of the day. You can personally activate and manage the service on our website. MyTracker Web Interface With any of our GPS based products, you get access to MyTracker, a Web based service that allows you or your family to locate your vehicle online, at any time, at no additional cost. You can customise features like Zone Management and EcoDrive. MyTracker puts you in control wherever you have Internet access via a computer, tablet or smartphone. Zone Management On MyTracker you can create, edit and monitor geofences for each vehicle on your profile. By assigning safe zones and no-go zones via an interactive map, you can preemptively manage the security of your vehicle and its occupants. If your vehicle goes outside of your safe zone or enters an area that you have determined to be high risk, you will be notified by SMS at a number you specify. Tracker Medical Assistance In the unfortunate event of a medical emergency within South Africa, we will facilitate a call to an emergency response service provider who will dispatch an ambulance or helicopter to your precise location. Where appropriate, lifesaving support will be provided and, where relevant, you will be stabilised before being transferred to the nearest appropriate medical facility. In the case of a poisoning, we will facilitate a call to the 24 hour poisons hot line. This is an advisory service available to both adults and children. We also provide access to a 24-hour suicide and counselling line. The service is anonymous and confidential, offering support by trained counsellors with expertise in alcohol and drug abuse, violence and victimisation, physical and psychological illness, stress, bereavement and loss, suicidal ideation, retrenchment and more.

6 Connected Roadside Assistance Our Roadside Assist Centre is always on call to provide you with a range of services relating to roadside emergencies. The tracking device installed in your vehicle enables us to pinpoint your location anywhere within South Africa at all times. This improves response times in the event of an emergency. Flat tyre We will attempt to change the tyre on-site; failing which, we will arrange to tow the vehicle. Flat battery We will attempt to start your vehicle on site or tow the vehicle in line with the towing benefit. Keys locked in vehicle We will arrange for a locksmith. If the ignition is damaged as a result of an attempted theft, we will arrange to tow the vehicle. Any additional labour costs, charges relating to repair or replacement of locks, ignition switches or cutting of keys will be for your account or covered by your insurance. Running out of fuel We will deliver fuel to your vehicle on site. The cost of fuel will be for your own account. Towing We will arrange to tow the vehicle to the nearest insuranceapproved panel beater, approved dealer or to your home, limited to a maximum of R650. If the vehicle is less than 100 km from home, we will arrange and pay up to a maximum of R1 000 per incident for the transportation of the occupants of the vehicle back home or to a specified destination, depending on which is closest. If the vehicle is more than 100 km from home, we will arrange and pay for hotel accommodation for the occupants of the vehicle up to a maximum amount of R1 000 per incident. If the vehicle needs to be towed but you prefer to continue with your journey immediately, we will arrange and pay for a rental car up to a maximum of R1 000 per incident. Vehicle storage If you require the vehicle to be temporarily stored we will arrange and pay for the safe storage for a maximum of 3 days up to an amount of R Repatriation of vehicle If the vehicle has been left for repair we will arrange and pay up to a maximum of R2 000 for the cost of collecting the vehicle and returning it to your place of residence after the repair has been effected. Maximum benefit payable per vehicle per annum The maximum amount payable in respect of all events in any one annual period is limited to R Reliable Reporting In addition to historic mileage and trip information, SkyTrax gives you access to an Electronic Logbook for your tax returns and mileage claims. Maintenance free The SkyTrax unit is connected to the vehicle s power supply, but it has a minimal effect on the vehicle s battery life. To ensure that your vehicle will still be protected in the event of the battery being disconnected, the unit includes its own independent back-up battery.

7 FAQs Will the Tracker unit interfere with your vehicle s electronics? Tracker s technology has been tested worldwide for Electromagnetic Compatibility and has been approved by a number of international organisations, including the European Telecommunications Standard Institute. Tracker units will therefore not interfere with the complex electronics in modern vehicles, such as the vehicle s management system, on board and mission critical computers. How will your vehicle be returned to you? Return of the vehicle is by arrangement between yourself and the SAPS. Once a stolen or hijacked vehicle has been recovered, it will be placed in police safekeeping. The SAPS will then release your vehicle to you according to official procedure. How is a stolen vehicle recovered? If your vehicle has been stolen, call our toll-free 24 hour National Emergency Centre immediately. The Retrieve unit in your vehicle is activated remotely and it begins sending a radio frequency signal. Recovery vehicles and aircraft are fitted with Vehicle Tracking Units, which pick up the signal from your vehicle. Highly trained tracking teams track the signal to locate your vehicle and apprehend the thieves. Will the unit need to be serviced is there a service contract? Our units have an extremely long battery life and a lifespan of many years without requiring service. However, in addition to testing your Tracker at least twice a year, it is recommended that you test the unit after an accident or after any electrical work has been carried out on your vehicle. Our units include a 12 month warranty, with an extended warranty and an all-risk option available.

11 Tracker has always been confident in the quality of our hardware. Our Stolen Vehicle Recovery (SVR) and Monitoring devices and installation are automatically guaranteed for 12 months. Extended Device Warranty and Device Protection are available on request. Extended Warranty When the 12-month warranty on your Tracker device expires, Extended Warranty will cover it for mechanical, electrical or electronic breakdown, wear and tear and gradual deterioration for a period of 48 months (month 13 to 60). No excess or call-out fee is payable. Extended Warranty Upfront The cover is the same as the Extended Warranty, but now you can pay a once off premium during the first 12 months of your Tracker subscription contract. Device Protection Should your Tracker device be lost or damaged, we will ensure that it is replaced free of charge. No excess or call-out fee is payable. All Risk Device Protection All Risk Device Protection combines Extended Warranty and Device Protection. The Extended Warranty period covers 60 months, with your warranty covering wear and tear, mechanical, electronic and electrical breakdown and even gradual deterioration. The additional Device Protection ensures that your Tracker device is protected against theft or tampering and damage. No excess or call out fee is payable. Unwanted Car Victims of car theft or hijacking sometimes don t feel comfortable driving their vehicle once it has been recovered. The trauma associated with the car can have a negative effect on a vehicle owner and family. Unwanted Car closes the gap between the trade-in and retail value as per Mead & McGrouther. No excess is payable. Track & Tow Once your stolen vehicle is recovered, Track & Tow ensures that your vehicle is safely towed from the recovery location or police pound and taken to a specified address of your choice, provided it is within South Africa. No excess or call-out fee is payable. Subscription Waiver By fitting a Tracker device, you have already demonstrated that you are a responsible member of society, and we appreciate your support and value your safety. Keeping you and your loved ones safe should not be affected by factors outside of your control. With Tracker s Subscription Waiver, we ll pay your subscription fees for up to 6 months in the unfortunate event of your death or retrenchment. No excess is payable. 12 All Tracker units are recognised by major insurers and motor manufacturers. The small tracking device is installed in a concealed position in your vehicle by a highly trained Tracker authorised technician. Our devices have been tested worldwide for Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) to ensure that they will not interfere with the vehicle s management system and on-board computer. The Tracker system will withstand the environmental and day to day demands of conventional vehicle use. A unit inspection will ensure that you have complied with the conditions of the product warranty if a Tracker Selftest request has failed or in the following instances: If your vehicle is damaged in an accident and needs repair If you have electrical work carried out on your vehicle If you have additional electronic equipment fitted to your vehicle (handsfree kit, sound system, etc.) The Tracker system is designed to require minimal maintenance. At the time of installation the Tracker system is carefully tested to ensure that it is working properly. If you ever wonder if the Tracker unit in your vehicle is still fully operational, you can test the unit in the following ways: At participating BP Service Stations (Retrieve or Alert units) At your closest Tracker-accredited fitment centre Log an over the air test by contacting our Service Centre on Tracker Retrieve and Alert units installed after 2010 test themselves at least once a year. You can check your own SkyTrax unit by logging into tracker.co.za and using your unique Login. You will see your vehicle s position on the map. If your vehicle has been in storage or not driven for more than one month Tracker strives to help you to manage the costs and risks associated with owning and driving a vehicle. In order to ensure that our products and services are the best in the country, we have partnered with the most appropriate service providers in the industry. Tracker reserves the right to amend services or elect new service providers from time to time, as we deem necessary. In order to provide the services as listed, it is necessary for Tracker and/or any of its third party business partners to intercept and monitor data generated by the Tracker unit installed in the vehicle. The services are applicable to passenger vehicles used for non-commercial purposes. Tracker reserves the right to determine how best to communicate notifications to customers, whether via , SMS or telephonically.
