Aller Bryn Warner Dear Friend of ASAP: AIDS Service Association of Pinellas (ASAP) proudly presents the Second Annual Santa Speedo Run Tampa Bay to be held on Saturday afternoon, December 17, This annual one-mile charity fun run through Historic Downtown Gulfport is a unique and moving experience that participants and spectators will remember for a long time. It is our pleasure to invite you to attend and participate in this exciting and fun-filled event as a sponsor. Please review the enclosed sponsorship packet and give careful consideration to the level of support you will provide for this community event. Proceeds from the 2011 Santa Speedo Run Tampa Bay will benefit the children and families served by AIDS Service Association of Pinellas s Brighter Seasons for Children program. Brighter Seasons for Children is a grassroots campaign started over 15 years ago. This program s focus is on providing families affected by HIV/AIDS with holiday food packages, holiday gifts, a spring picnic and an Easter egg hunt. The program also provides backpacks at the beginning of each school year that are fully loaded with grade appropriate school supplies. ASAP is a not-for-profit organization that offers support services and programs to those infected or affected by HIV/AIDS in the Tampa Bay area. Currently, ASAP serves over 1000 clients, which includes ASAP s pediatric program that supports over 100 children. Thank you for your consideration and for supporting this event. 3 Santa Speedo Run Benefiting Brighter Seasons for Children ASAP s Santa Speedo Run is a one-mile charity fun run through Historic Downtown Gulfport that benefits Brighter Seasons For Children, a program within AIDS Service Association of Pinellas, Inc. (ASAP). This yearly run is a unique way to build awareness of the many children in our area who are infected or affected by HIV/AIDS. Donning a speedo and running through downtown to raise money for these children is an easy sacrifice to make compared to the sacrifices some of our families make on a daily basis to help support their children. Brighter Seasons for Children is a grass roots campaign started over 15 years ago. This program s focus is providing families affected by HIV/AIDS with holiday food packages, holiday gifts, a spring picnic and an Easter egg hunt. The program also provides back-packs at the beginning of each school year that are fully loaded with grade appropriate school supplies. Runners participate as individuals or join with friends and co-workers as teams to raise money. All of the donations raised through Santa Speedo Run s fundraising efforts stay within our community and allow ASAP to continue this unique pediatric program. Participants not only raise money, they also get the chance to share their stories of how this epidemic has impacted their lives after the run over drinks provided by our finish line sponsor. DEC 17, 2011 The Gift of Life Have you ever thought, How can I help just one person living with HIV/ AIDS get the support and service that they need? By participating in The Gift of Life sponsorship, you can do just that. This program gives you the opportunity to donate money that will directly help one ASAP client. Your donation of $2000 will assist one qualified, employed HIV positive client in covering the cost of his or her co-payments for HIV/AIDS medications for one year. By making this donation, you will help one person get critical, life sustaining support. You will give that person The Gift of Life. Since all of your donation goes directly to an ASAP client, you benefit in knowing that you have made a difference in the life of a specific person living with HIV/AIDS in our community. If it is not in your budget for this event, you can provide The Gift of Life through sponsorship at future ASAP fundraising events, such as the Red Ribbon Dance or AIDS Walk St. Petersburg. The first run of printed material will not include sponsors other than the Presenting Sponsor. The second run will occur 3 weeks before the event and include all sponsors with executed contracts up to that point. Any sponsor contracting after the second printing will be included in as much material as possible, but no expectation or guarantee is made.
