Applicatins will be evaluated by a peer assessment jury against the prgram criteria, the cre values and gals f the BC Arts Cuncil and the three areas f assessment. In preparing their prpsal, applicants shuld: Cnsider and discuss hw the prject addresses their mandate, missin and values thrugh the pursuit f excellence in each f the three areas f assessment. Respnd t the cre values and gals f Cuncil in cnsidering and discussing each f the three areas f assessment as they relate t the prject. All applicants shuld refer t the cre values and gals f the BC Arts Cuncil s Strategic Plan alngside the Assessment Criteria sectin f the TITLE ASSISTANCE FOR BOOK PUBLISHERS guidelines in preparing their prpsals. Applicants are reminded that while they are asked t cnsider a number f pssible criteria under each area f assessment, nt all f the criteria will apply t each applicatin; rather, they are examples f aspects that shuld be cnsidered and addressed in the applicatin if relevant t the applicant and the prject being prpsed. The BC Arts Cuncil believes that publishers are well placed t assess the wrk they prduce. As a result, an essential element f each written statement is insightful, critical self-reflectin. Jury members want t understand the applicant s assessment f the challenges faced and the creative slutins under cnsideratin. 1.
