1 Using the Sympodium Interactive Monitor Newton Technology Guide

2 Sympodium Interactive Monitor The Sympodium is an interactive monitor which allows you to write (using the pen attached) over anything you display in digital ink, highlight concepts, and take snapshots. Your audience will see your writing instantly as you deliver prepared or impromptu material. The Sympodium connects directly to the lectern computer and acts as both a monitor and interactive tablet. The attached pen can be used instead of a mouse by pressing on the Sympodium Screen. You can still work with the software you re used to such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel, or even your Web browser and save all your notes afterwards in.pdf or.jpeg format for example. The Sympodium is connected directly to the lectern PC and uses an application called SMART board to control all interactive functions. You will find the SMART board toolbar located on the left hand side of the desktop. Using SMART board you can do the following: Type using an onscreen keyboard Write or highlight using digital coloured ink Draw shapes & arrows Take a photo of your work or desktop Sympodium Layout.
