1 The Langham, Hong Kong Heralds a New Era of Luxury An Iconic luxury brand celebrates a multi-million renovation, awarded the Forbes Five Star Rating and provides innovative and sustainable MICE offers (Hong Kong, February 2015) The Langham, Hong Kong recenty completed a USD30 million, three-month extensive facelift, signifying a new era of luxury for the hotel. London-based interior and architectural design firm, G.A Design, was commissioned to create a world-class transformation with an emphasis on elegant residential experiences with luxury detailing. The renovation extends to 230 guest rooms and suites where the design referenced the Langham luxury brand elements and its European heritage, yet relevant to the character and culture of Hong Kong. The new guest rooms, Grand Langham, Langham Club and Langham Suites, infuses subtle references to 1920 s glamour offering amenities that include Wedgwood chinaware, a bespoke British minibar and an ihome docking station. Part of the grand facelift also features two Signature Suites, the Penthouse Suite and the Director Suite, that have distinctive living spaces with character pieces and lofty views of Canton Road, the fashion quarters of the vibrant Tsim Sha Tsui district where the hotel resides. Headlining the new look for the luxury hotel is Palm Court, a lounge glamorously restyled after its namesake at The Langham, London. As a tribute to its heritage where traditional British afternoon tea was first served almost 150 years ago, Palm Court launched the bespoke version of the tradition The Langham Afternoon Tea with Wedgwood serving Wedgwood specialty teas in tailor-made Langham Rose Wedgwood Chinaware. Part of the multi-million grand transformation and adjacent to Palm Court is Artesian. This awardwinning bar concept from London features interiors that combine a nostalgic romance of Art Deco details with alluring contemporary touches. Taking signature cocktails from the Artesian in London that was voted as The World s Best Bar, the Artesian in Hong Kong will incorporate flavours and ingredients reflecting Chinese heritage and culture, and offer a collection of over 50 different types of bourbon and carries no less than 34 different varieties of gin.
