1 Cayman International School Strategic Action Plan Objective One By the year 2013, each CIS student will be able to demonstrate improvements in academic performance in core subjects of math, language arts, science and social studies. Consider a focus on one aspect of culture that will rotate each year (i.e. food, music, art, etc.).

Make Edline more user friendly for parents, standardize web pages for teachers. Focus will be on design appropriate criteria for awards; awards to include all aspects of academic and extra curricular activities and progress; implement valedictorian and salutatorian with class of Work with secondary teachers to assess needs of the students. Integrate more with guidance department; build more SAT prep resources in the library. Create a baseline measurement using first year statistics; determine the target (i.e. 80% of students getting a 4 or higher on IB exams), create statistics on college acceptance rates. Speakers invited to come to school; job shadowing opportunities; possible summer internship database created. Further develop the student leadership teams and create more opportunities for student sponsored activities; strengthen community service component of curriculum.
