2 Markham Cycling Day is an expansion of the well established and highly successful Markham Giro Bicycle Races for children and youth ages 3 14 to include a 10km, 25km and 50km bicycle Tour de Markham open to youth, adults, seniors and families. Markham Cycling Day will be centred at the Markham Civic Centre and offers a safe, fun and educational experience that encourages everyone to enjoy all that the City of Markham has to offer while they develop or enhance their passion for cycling. Markham Cycling Day is more than a series of bicycle races and tour routes. The Markham Giro Bike Races offer children and youth fun and friendly competition. The Tour de Markham offers the option of a 10km, 25km or 50km bicycling route on safe cycling infrastructure throughout the City that takes participants to several interesting Markham landmarks. There will also be a number of other attractions and activities at the Markham Civic Centre. More than 650 children, youth and their families participated in the 2015 Markham Giro Bike Races, plus another 400+ riders took part in the Tour de Markham. With the word spreading about the high calibre of the Tour de Markham and the success of the inaugural Markham Cycling Day, the number of riders is expected to grow significantly in Profiling Your Business through Sponsorship Custom packages can be designed to suit your marketing needs. A partnership with Markham Cycling Day means your corporate logo will be displayed on all advertising material distributed throughout the community. This includes our libraries and community centres, PLUS the Markham Cycling Day website with a link to your webpage of choice.
