3 USPS does not have a centralized platform that allows employees to manage their health and wellness information Currently, USPS employees manage disparate information from multiple sources Federal Health Plans o 89% of full-time USPS employees are enrolled in one of 19% are Veterans and may receive care through FEHB, VA and TRICARE several different Federal Health Plans o 19% of Veterans at USPS receive care through FEHB, VA and TRICARE The Opportunity and USPS Employee Profile Currently, USPS employees manage disparate information from multiple sources 89% of full-time USPS employees are enrolled in one of several different In addition to managing their job, many USPS employees Perform physically demanding tasks Manage chronic conditions Are caregivers to children or elderly family members AGES ,519 employees 40% of total RETIREES & EMPLOYEE DEPENDENTS 2 million+ USPS can provide a secure, employee-controlled repository for managing employee health and wellness information 3

4 USPS Health Connect We are creating a new patient-centric portal, USPS Health Connect, to help employees easily and securely collect, store and manage their personal health records and wellness information. USPS Health Connect allows employees to voluntary opt-in and will help them more actively monitor their health and participate in their healthcare. 4

5 Pilot Purpose and Scope Purpose Gather input on USPS Health Connect capabilities and usability Understand data availability and challenges faced by employees obtaining data Obtain feedback on the value of USPS as a trusted and neutral point of data aggregation Scope The pilot launch September 30, 2014 First deployment: USPS Employees Second deployment: dependents and retirees 5

8 Digital Identity Services The USPS will offer digital identity services, and was recently selected by the White House to develop a hub to federate credentials (Connect.gov). Obtain a USPS Verified Digital Identity: - Online through USPS.com (Currently 26M consumers have a USPS credential) - In-person proofing at post offices and through letter carriers who can verify identities at their homes and businesses USPS Verified Digital Identity Benefits: - Offers credentials with a high level of assurance - Enables federated access to digital applications - Improves digital security and privacy by reducing the number of digital identities to maintain How it can be Used: - USPS Products and Services - ecommerce Sites - Government Applications 8

9 Electronic Postmark (EPM) The EPM is a: - Visual and verifiable digital Trustmark - Web-based security service that establishes the integrity and authenticity of digital messages (can detect if messages were altered/modified) - Verifies document authenticity online by storing evidence of the document with the USPS EPM Benefits: - Verifies a message was sent from a trusted source - Ensures the integrity of the message and its contents - Serves as the digital equivalent of registered mail How it s Used Integrated into: - USPS internal applications to enable electronic signatures - Commercial digital communication channels to secure content and serve as a visual trustmark - External services such as DIRECT 9
