3 NSK beaings suppot mining machiney fo the challenging task of aising efficiency and poductivity of opeations unde hash envionments. CA seies beaings ae double-ow self-aligning spheical olle beaings with a machined bass cage that have a high load capacity, supeio duability, and ae esistant to wea. The CA seies ae especially suitable fo applications that opeate unde heavy o shock load conditions. CA Seies Spheical Rolle eaings CA-VS seies beaings ae CA seies beaings that have been optimized fo hash vibating applications, including vibating sceens and feedes. CA-VS Seies Spheical Rolle eaings Jaw Cushe Wok mateial is cushed between two opposing jaw plates. One plate opens and shuts, cushing aw mateial against the stationay jaw plate. Cone Cushe Mateial is fed into the cushe cavity and pocessed by the eccentic otating action of the inne cone against the oute cone. Wok can be educed to a diamete anging fom 50 mm to 100 mm. Vibating Sceen The vibating sceen consists of a case with a shaft and housing installed inside, with spings suppoting the case. The swing and otation of the shaft is poduced by the attached unbalanced weight, which geneates vibation. This vibation sifts the mateial set on the sceen on the top of the case. Impact Cushe As indicated by its name, this machine cushes oe though impact, and steadily educes the size of the cushed paticles though shap, epeated impact with a apidly spinning hamme, steel plate, o stick. NSKHPS seies beaings ae double-ow self-aligning spheical olle beaings capable of caying heavy adial loads with modeate axial loads in eithe diection. The spheical pofile of the olles, the inne ing aceway, and the oute ing aceway, enable a self-aligning function that allows full capacity loading. 11 Radial Cleaance in Spheical Rolle eaings with Tapeed oes eaing Maintenance and Inspection eaings with tapeed boes ae diectly mounted onto tapeed shafts o onto cylindical shafts with adaptes o withdawal sleeves (Fig. 1). Lage beaings ae often mounted using hydaulic pessue. Fig. 2 shows a beaing mounting utilizing a sleeve and hydaulic nut. Anothe mounting method is to dill holes in the sleeve which ae used to feed oil unde pessue to seat the beaing. As the beaing expands adially, the sleeve is inseted axially with adjusting bolts. The beaing should be mounted with a suitable intefeence fit by checking esidual cleaance while measuing thei adialcleaance eduction and efeing to the amount of axial movement listed in Table 1. Radial cleaance must be measued using cleaance Fig. 1 Mounting with adapte Oil Fig. 2 Mounting with hydaulic nut c Fig. 3 Cleaance measuement of spheical olle beaing c gauges. As shown in Fig 3, adial cleaance fo both ows of olles must be measued simultaneously, and those two values should be kept oughly the same. When a lage beaing is mounted on a shaft, the oute ing may be defomed into an oval shape by its own weight. If adial cleaance is measued at the lowest pat of the defomed beaing, the measued value may be geate than the tue value. If an incoect adial intenal cleaance is obtained in this manne and the value in Table 1 ae used, then the intefeence fit may become too tight and the tue esidual cleaance may become too small. In this case, as shown in Fig. 4, one half of the total cleaance at points a and b (which ae on a hoizontal line passing though the beaing cente) and c (which is the lowest position of the beaing) may be used as the esidual cleaance. c Fig. 4 Measuing cleaance in lage spheical olle beaing c Maintenance eaings and opeating conditions must be peiodically inspected and maintained to maximize beaing life to pevent mechanical failue, ensue eliable opeation, aise poductivity, and enhance cost pefomance. Maintenance should be pefomed egulaly accoding to wok standads that may vay accoding to machine opeating conditions. Opeating conditions should be monitoed, lubicant eplenished o changed, and the machine peiodically disassembled and ovehauled. 1. Inspection unde opeating conditions Review lubicant popeties, check opeating tempeatues, and inspect fo any vibations and beaing noise to detemine beaing eplacement peiods and eplenishment intevals of the lubicant. 2. Inspection of the beaing e sue to thooughly examine the beaings duing peiodic machine inspections and pat eplacement. Check the aceway fo any damage and confim if the beaing can be eused o should be eplaced. Table 1 eaing iegulaity causes and measues Inspection points Items to be checked while the machine is unning should include beaing noise, vibations, tempeatue, and lubicant condition. 1. eaing noise Sound detection instuments can be used duing opeation to ascetain the volume and chaacteistics of beaing otation noise though sound pattens that ae eadily distinguishable, which can eveal the pesence of beaing damage such as slight flaking. Thee typical noise conditions ae descibed in Table eaing vibation eaing iegulaities can be analyzed by pefoming a quantitative analysis of vibation amplitude and fequency using a fequency spectum analyze. Measued data vaies depending on the opeating conditions of the beaing and the location of the vibation pick-up.
